not often we hear the short cadenza now adays and actually it is delightful and fits in so well with the piece as a whole - and Kuleshov bring it off so well...whilst i always like the longer cadenza it is good that the shorter one is still used, given that the composer used it, and all the early recordings apart from gieseking all used it!
