Considering how much (though not all) metal is inspired by baroque and classical music it’s not as surprising to see the crossover appeal. That said, the shirt is a nice touch.
We gotta love this guy! I mean, he wears sailing shorts and cartoon t-shirts for a Metal concert but wears black pants and a Sepultura t-shirt for a piano concert?!?!? xD
Classical music is good inspiration for any song, rock/metal one is no exception. Happy New Year! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TgQRKVaDa2U.html
100%. Romantic era music was the first that emphasized emotional expression over form, and in particular the psychology of how specific chords evoke specific emotions and how composers could utilize that to make their audience connect to the music in a new way. Prior to Beethoven's 9th, form was king. The departure from that was shocking in the way metal has been since its inception.
Vlad, the man, the myth! Seriously, what an amazingly talented musician and instrumentalist. Utmost respect for this giant among giants!! This is part of the reason why Jinjer is it's own genre of music.
You missed "the legend" but I guess "giant among giants" covered it) Here is more festive Rachmaninov: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TgQRKVaDa2U.html
That’s the least surprising thing I’ve ever seen. His drumming is so musical and creative that it’s apparent that he is a person of high musical education and training. It’s the best comeback to lame “drummer jokes” like “what do you call someone who hangs out behind musicians? A drummer” to be able to say, okay hand me that guitar, or sit down at a piano and shut someone up.
@@j.f.fisher5318 oh yeah, I’ve seen a number of videos of Vlad playing guitar. Super talented player and composer. IMO the glass slipper Jinjer needed.
I'm an old metalhead who stumbled on your band through vocal coach reactions...after days of reviewing your library...I'm blown away!!! Ordered King of everything and macro... you have found a new rabid fan and I will spread your unique and powerful sounds to everyone who will listen...all of you are amazing!!! Glad I found you!!!
This makes me so happy and makes me respect the band so much more. I’m 13 years classical trained on piano and I love metal as well. I always believe there’s a link between the two
I always thought classical music in minor keys was the heavy metal of their time. I've never been a fan of baroque style "happier" music but I can see it's use in the context of dance and celebration. The darker stuff like this is more my style.
@@YuryMechanickMetalhead Он в первую очередь талантливый музыкант, а уже потом "лысый бородатый мужик в майке Sepultura". Тем более Рахманинов сам в какой-то мере рок-звезда.
Drumming + piano : one of the best combinations... I'd do that if I was a musician too ;) Quite amazing he can play both instruments at those levels. The story behind this piece is rachmaninov dreamt of a funeral. At 1:28 he begins to walk to the closed coffin, faster and faster. He finally opens it at 2:27 and.. finds himself inside. At that point the music is the most dramatic. He was 18 when he composed it.
Holy shit you mad man! I am a huge Rachmaninoff fan. This piece is no walk in the park. It is deceptive and challenging and sad and beautiful and epic. A lot like Jinjer tbh....I have followed you guys for a while and this is by far the coolest cover you've done second only to Gojira.
I had to rub my eyes when I first saw the notification. Did it actually say Rachmaninov and on Jinjer's channel of all the places. But I must say I'm pleasantly surprised.
I was expecting some piano blast beats, lol But seriously, Vlad is super talented and as always, has a perfect sense of timing! Could you leave some instruments for the rest of us?! 😂
