Unfortunately, she didn't pursue Hollywood greatness specifically because of this nauseating race issue (they wanted her to lie about her race & age). 🔥😡💢 To this day, I still feel disheartened that the world doesn't know about her. She's the biggest queen superstar in my country. But she COULD'VE ALSO been an international icon, if only things went her way. 😞 The world would've had a *_Great Quartet,_* instead of just a Trinity --- The Voice (WH) The Artist (MC) The Performer (CD) and *_the Phenom_* 🌹🕊️🌹

I have a huge collection of cds, dvds, vinyls, her memoir, etc. I always buy everything i can find about her. I have all the álbuns in multiple different editions. I love Mariah with all my heart. I lived all the eras.

Was it underrated on the US charts? I remember her dominating the airwaves in Ireland and the UK when it came out. Did you see the movie?

Sorry I’m just now replying. But yeah in the US it kinda saddened me to see how underrated she was. Like most US citizens had no idea who she was during her prime which is crazy. It wasn’t until the documentary “Amy” that they finally knew who she was outside the “crackhead” persona the media pushed. I mean the album won 5 Grammys and when my cousin said that she watched during the time of its airing. She had no idea who Amy Winehouse was and immediately went to go check out her music. And I’ve heard similar other stories. It was either the documentary or the Grammys. Which is insane to me cause Back to Black was a phenomenal album and deserved better over here. Like what the hell was her label doing at the time when it came to marketing over here? Because American artist usually love British acts. Especially in the pre 2000’s era. When the 2000’s arrived there weren’t really that many popular ones in the American media anymore. Amy winehouse sorta broke that mold but as I said before. The majority of Americans had no idea who she was besides the song rehab. Also, no, I have not seen the movie yet but I’m going to as soon as it comes out in America.
