In university we had a guy in our dorm, tall gangly, walked lopsided. He was on his motorcycle when there was a three car pile up ahead of him, he rear ended a car, flew over that car and crashed through the back windshield of the next car, or the car after that. Spent better part of a year in hospital getting surgeries. This guy is pretty lucky.

Bravo for the plaintiff for being prepared to present his case and expressing what he was clarifying to Judge Judy. It sounds like he should go to law school to practice civil/criminal cases.

MOMENTOUS OCCASION. I was here grinding my teeth, because I’m like “he’s just explaining it wrong!” So glad that got ironed out. He just needed to say “if I win that lawsuit, the money will go to fix my bike like it normally should, but I will still be 5k negative from what I’ve already expended for his bad job.” Love seeing JJ be reasonable here.

You can tell what kind of a person JJ is. A humble and courageous person. She was wrong and she admits it, on national TV.

This issue with her understanding of the case, is that because the show pays the judgements, not the defendant's, judge Judy comes into every exchange as if people are trying to get one over on her. Once she removed that notion from her mind, she understood he was going to be out of pocket.

Respect to plaintiff. He is well prepared and held his ground respectfully.

She had to know the case was simple and she was trying to drag it out for the TV show otherwise the case is 1 minute long and there's nothing to film.

Defendant was ready to walk out of court and leave the plaintiff’s ashes but then JJ calmed down.

What is wrong with Judge Judy? Can she not understand he's suing the guy who he got in the accident for in another court for more than just a wrecked bike? He spent 3500 of his earnings/savings from his job to pay this guy to repair his bike in which he did a horrible job with zipties. 2 different people he's suing over 2 different issues. This guy took his 3500 and didn't do the job.

See kids, you can admit when you're wrong. It's not a bad thing! People will actually respect you more!
