I worked with a guy like this in my department. He had a major chip on his shoulder, and took "notes" on EVERYTHING and EVERYONE. Even when the situation was totally benign and harmless, he would spin it and complain. It seemed like he was deliberately trying to CAUSE issues just to stir something up in order to set up a lawsuit. By the way, he was liked and trusted by NOBODY. But HE thought he was the one behaving NORMALLY. This kind of paranoia isn't compatible in ANY work environment, much less in a law enforcement type environment. The ONLY reason these types of people stay on for so long is because it so tough to fire them. Even if the department had all their ducks in a row, the "R" word gets thrown out and nothing positive gets accomplished. Call me what you will, but facts are facts. I'm SO glad I retired and got out of a career that was so heavily affected by "Affirmative Action". Oh yeah, we don't have that anymore! DANG...
