Anyone could have predicted the ballot box arsons and many of us did. Drop boxes need to be inside municipal buildings, fire houses, police stations etc.
I'm a Pennsylvania voter, I've voted already via Mail in Ballot. My wife is voting for the very first time ever. Thanks to Gov Shapiro making it possible to register by renewing your license. That's +2 for Pennsylvania, one of which has never voted before this election.
@@mariannefinkelLol you clearly don’t know Cubans. They are the reddest Hispanic voting block in the entire country. No silly joke is going to make them forget about actual communism
I haven't always agreed with everything in these pre-election podcasts, but have listened to them carefully and thank you for contributing meaningful analysis in these tense times.
There's an excellent discussion between Sam Harris and Ben Shapiro moderated by Bari Weiss on the candidates. It's smart without the NYT theatrics. Time better spent than this one-sided groupthink.
Ben called January 6th an insurrection on 1\7\20. Now he's making excuses for Trump. Obviously, Ben figured out his audience wouldn't subscribe any more and is shilling
I think a joke about Puerto Rico is not the same as the sitting president calling half the population garbage. That happened yesterday and you’re still talking about a joke make by an insult comedian. Biden said it seriously. No joke!
I forgot the timestamp on when it was said (and don't wanna look it up) but someone said Kamala's closing argument is mainly good with moderate Republicans who think the status quo is good and working. Obviously that's a VERY stupid thing to think if you look at all the times our idiot congress has been close to shutting down the government but I think that's the point as to why the Harris campaign is running those ads. Siphoning off the Haley supporters with appeals like that are the reason for those ads. I don't know if it's smart since regular people care more about price gouging and housing affordability, but its certainly something. As far as abortion (as a man myself), it's kind of weird no one's focused on the men that have been negatively affected by women in their lives losing access to it. The men who lost women who've needlessly lost their lives from having a medical abortion delayed. The men who were forced to raise kids neither parent were ready for. The men who helped women have an abortion because their home state banned it. There's also the fact that sex education and contraceptive access expansion haven't even entered the conversation to any extent. The possibility and opportunity to focus there in an election where Trump is ahead among men by a fair amount. Seems like dropping the ball to an extent.
It's all fake bro stuff and disaffected young men looking for attention in Trump's mind. Locker room talk. That's not real life. Reality is that far more women than men will vote. Kamala will be fine. And she will be president for everyone.
The audio and video are clearly recorded separately. It’s odd to watch. The audio works great for the podcast but it feels weird when is 1/2 off relate to the video
@@aynrandish9106So you would want your wife to die in those situations? Like how does what she said not wake people up to the reality of this - women are already dying because of restrictions in states like Texas.
He will be the chief executive of USA Inc. He is supposed to know exactly what everyone around him are doing, or at the minimum set the parameters. He did and he loved the results. His supporters have been trained to love the results. I he didn't know, he is incompetent. If he did, then he is trying to show how his as vile as anyone has ever seen.
So far, an interesting discussion. RE: not projecting a vision of the future, this is where former President Trump started his campaign. I watched his original announcement and he had nothing new to say - it was a reminiscence of his term in office. If he does lose the election, it may be because of this (plus even his supporters' annoyance about his personal traits). I am not particularly impressed with Vice President Harris, but the question is: do we wish to "turn the page" (and get us baby boomers off the stage)?
I'm almost positive neither Trump or Harris offer anything new. My hope is they make as little change as possible in office. I don't really trust either.
The way all the previous Trump supporters who secretly vote for Kamala Harris, will feel next week, Is just like a football player joining a new team that wins the Super Bowl.
If we can securely do our banking via the internet, we can design a system to vote over the internet. We need an open source, fully auditable, and secure system that lets us vote from any internet browser.
The problem of commentator like you, no one of MAGA listen to you, so the problem is that you must try to find out what did you need to do to change that
People in Puerto Rico certainly aren't taking the insult well, nor are those in Pennsylvania. Maybe this doesn't matter, but it does have an impact, and this number of people can influence the election.
I'm a Cuban American living in Pennsylvania surrounded by Puerto Rican neighbors. Trust me they are mad. My friend at work is Puerto Rican trust me. he's very mad.
Obama failed to codify Roe when he had a congressional super majority in 2008. His campaign promise was to codify Roe as the first thing he would do if elected to office. Michelle should start with her man before wagging her finger at others.
because it was set in stone via Supreme Court, until it was repealed no one thought of reversing the ruling. there was no reason to do anything more until that right was taken away by the Supreme Court that Trump put in and is proud of doing so.
You seem to have forgotten: 1) just how much rope that would have been to push 2) how much a smoking crater the economy that he ended up inherit ing was 3) the next level of obstruction the GOP caucus purposely erected to gum up & stop ANYTHING getting done, explicitly & openly stated. Like nothing we’d seen
New York State is very conservative, racist and republicans. NYC is more diverse and vote blue. I have seen a lot confederate flags flying while traveling through upstate New York. Not surprised that nytimes misses this point
@ 3 of my family members have lost everything due to inflation one of my uncles was just laid off from stellantis. Food has gotten outrageous, my cousin can’t afford to buy a house and is stuck paying astronomical rent prices….theres so many reasons as well as the democrats taking the African American vote for granted all of my family and friends are just tired of being expected to vote blue whether it benefits us or not. It’s time for a change.
@@jayfromct5164 Wait a minute, isn't voting for Trump, the racist criminal, voting for what doesn't work and literally going backwards? He is 78 years old, and is trying to reuse some very old policies in his platform. Economists confirm that the economy will likely be worse under those policies. Hell, he doesn't even have a working plan to bring down housing costs, a president doesn't have that ability. Inflation is likely to be higher under him than Harris, which will make costs higher. At the very least, it seems more reasonable to vote for neither of them, if you believe that Harris's policies won't help.
@@jayfromct5164 Seriously? Food prices, look into the Kroger CEO and how he got caught inflating grocery store prices. Housing/Rent? Harris has a plan for that and has openly talked about that. Trump has no plan or should i say concepts of a plan. His Tax cuts won't help you, His Tariffs don't help you either. They help his rich friends who donate to his campaign. Not you or I.
