D Dudley what would you do if you ran into somone who was wearing a kkk hood or clearly represents their ideology in public? What about a Nazi supporter? Muslims know that their books demand the killings of non Muslims and the conquer of the world to firm an Islamic state and they are OK with this and represent Islam everywhere they go by wearing a head piece or the men having unshaved beards. People need to wake up and inform themselves before.they feel sorry and apologetic. I'm not a True supporter but I'm against the teachings of the Islamic ideology that dominates women and anyone who is not Muslim.

marissa Rivera I agree a hundred percent with you. If we speak of people, we know there are the good and the bad. The same as where there might have been people following Hitler but didn't agree with his cruelty. We have to look at the ideology and what is written in Islamic books including the Quran and examine what it teaches it's followers to do. For example, if any man of any religion beats his woman in western countries,they'd be jailed. Take that same man and if he was a national in any middle eastern country, he would not even be arrested because it is according to the Muslim sharia law. What I am saying is the same way you would not like it if someone supported Nazi or kkk, supporters of Islam are keeping a very dangerous ideology alive by continuing to practice it. I am not for confronting them in public but we all need to stop the political correctness and expose this so called religion for what it really is...an agenda for world domination.

I partly agree with the ignoring. At some point in life we need to learn when to ignore people especially when they're irrelevant. But.. As a black son to a single white woman I've heard the phrase "just ignore it" approximately a million times in my life. And I had become so angry about it over the years because I've realized it's just a lazy way of not addressing the problem. We never asked for these situations and now we're even told to just suck it up and move on. Don't get me wrong it's not a fundamentally wrong advice. It's just that I never understood why (basically always white) people told me how to deal with a situation they couldn't even comprehend instead of trying to feel the pain and actually help to solve these issues. My mom would always tell me she doesn't see colors and that's how she raised me. Well good for you but others do. It'd be nice if you didn't ignore my reality because I can't. maybe I'm taking this too far Idk lol it's all messed up

It's because these white racists think that they are the victims and are owed some kind of comeuppance. They feel like they are becoming a minority and are terrified. I talked to my mother on Sunday about some of this (she was born in Germany in 1939 and lost more than half her family in the war). What I loved about that conversation was when we got to the point where we were talking about how many people are marrying and having kids with other races. Someday, there won't be race anymore. We are all going to intermarry and our children are going to be so mixed that no one will be able to tell one from another. I think that is a beautiful future, where it would be impossible to hate based on race anymore. Heck, I would love to see all countries be gone as well. Where we are all just people, living on our beautiful, wondrous planet as a whole. edit: or maybe I've just watched too much Star Trek hahaha

The best way to deal with this is to counter with positive comments that are truthful and relevant, that she cannot refute without looking bad. E.g. when she said I wish you people were not allowed in the country, instead of getting defensive, you say politely that you are very grateful to live in the US, how much you love being American, how good and kind most Americans are. When she said Obama is a Muslim you counter, oh I was pretty sure he is a Christian, he attended church regularly and not mosques. When she said he is in Jail, you say, what I know is that he is living in Washington with his family and how you admire him for being such a good father. Always stay friendly and change things around to the positive. I also do this in a group of women gossiping cruelly about someone who is not there. It is how you educate others, stay strong and counter act negativity. It often defuses tricky situations.

Yeah I’m 62 years old and I was raise my whole life in San Diego California and never once have I had a racist person approached me in anyway. That being said now that the idiot in chief is around this past year I had an old white man come up to me real quietly stand next to me and make a racist remark so no one could hear him but me. So I made sure I said very loudly for him to get away for me and then he was a racist. He kind of sunk away quietly. I was so shocked and disgusted

I had aha moment with a friend of mine. He is a intelligent and respectful black man. He believes that racism should be a mental illness. As a First Nations, I believe him due to my own experiences. As a 60’s scoop survivor, and have been told that I am dirty, ugly, and so stupid. I was told their daughters were pretty because they had blonde hair and blue eyes. The foster father was a lawyer and my foster mother was a grade one teacher. I had to eat at a different table and eat low class meals. They kept telling me that they are saving me because I could be a skidrow drunk. I have two degrees and my children are awesome. What hurts them is I have more education than their own children. However, I am low life no matter how much I volunteer or work to be better. I am a dirty, ugly, and horrible person because I am Gwichin and inuvaluit. I felt ashamed my whole life. Prejudice is a mental illness.
