Taking the Vampire Survivors formula and layering on more player agency, diablo-style loot and Hades style narrative delivery and boons sounds like a winning combination to me. This looks like a blast, and I will definitely be checking itout!

Melee focused and manual attacking? Sounds great. Also that's some very pretty pixel art. Edit: after watching a bit more, I do wish they'd make manual attacks meaningfully different from auto attacks in other bullet heavens. Currently it looks like you'd want to spam attacks as fast as possible at all time, which is just auto attacks with extra steps. Otherwise this looks very promising for a demo.

@@IottiPH agreed against the boss in the demo to its better to stop attacking and move around a bit to dodge the arrows or you will die very fast so you can't attack spam especially against armored enemies.

I really enjoy these Horde Survival games. Its also really nice to see all the different permutations and different mechanics being tried. I've wanted one that does an ARPG look/itemization system, so this one looks quite interesting for sure.

Pretty sure the mage char has less hp/armor than the knight, thats why it looks like she takes more damage from hits, its either the hp bar doesn't represent the hp ammount correctly or ther is a hidden armor value.

Wow this really hits my spot, i'm hooked to it already. Hades was the best Roguelike i played in my entire life and then there is the bulmet hell genre which i love so much.... This is PERFECT i'm so excited🔥🔥 I love it when you get to choose your next boob and the music is getting muffled, hit me right into my hades mermories! Keep it u!!

This game looks awesome. Have tried multiple games in this genre and always go back to VS because it's so insanely giggle-inducing but the persistent gear progression in this looks quite compelling. Glad the demo will remain available after Next Fest, so I'll get a chance to play it.

Love the casual gait of the main character, just strolling along slashin at things. This melding of different game mechanics is surprisingly smooth. Got behind games being best when doing one thing well but I'm pleased to be incorrect.

I love how this looks The art look great it seems at least a bit more creative then other games in this genre plus it has some challenge, something that not all games in this field has, I'm quite heavily anticipating the release of this (Another great looking game I've found thanks to wander into my wishlist)

The knock back is also lifted from hades. The blue bar of shield blocks stuns and knock back like yellow health in hades. That's why the chargers couldn't be stunned because they had a ton of shield hp.

Hades 2 should take some of the lessons from the bullet heaven genre. While I've played the game to death I still wished they had something to mix up the fun in the game. Mods are great for that but not everyone has time to code more of it.

Y'know, a lot of what grinds my gears about these "hordelike" games is a lack of player agency. They've always been just one step above an idle game to me. This one actually seems to let the player do just enough to reach the sweet spot for me of feeling like I'm actually affecting something, I'll have to check it out. Also some neat god designs here!

You say you try any decent bullet heaven: Then it's time to check out Soul Survivors, which I already recommended to you in the past. There are three classes right now and all play very different with almost no overlap in their abilities.

Wonder I have not seen a comment yet and I do think you realized it already, but you move a lot slower while attacking no matter which character you were using. Edit: I think the dev/devs put a moving speed cap while attacking.

@@wanderbots Yeah, I don't like contact damage either (epecially not when the enemies can do contact damage to the player), but I was mainly thinking about how tiring it is for me to repeatedly click a button or key due to my disability. And bullet heavens requires a lot of clicking (if not auto attack).

@@oliver_twistor ah whoops, misinterpreted your comment. Honestly the manual attacks are fine for me as well. Annoying and risky, but otherwise this would feel like every other bullet heaven. This way there's a real risk vs reward when deciding whether to attack or run away to reposition. With auto attacks it wouldn't have that dynamic. But you are correct that it isn't very accessible this way.

@@wanderbots No worries! The best would be if there will be a toggle for people to choose between auto and manual. I'm all for giving the player as much choice as possible. But that might get problematic given that the protagonist slows down when attacking and that seems to be a big part of the mechanics and the risk/reward as you said. We'll see when the full game comes out.

@@oliver_twistor There is a toggle actually in the menu. You can set it to attack all the time with one click, next click turns it off. So still some clicking but at least there's some thing.
