@@Jake-rt4ry Ik im not bad karma but the J10A has proved itself to be 1 of the (if not the) best dogfighters in the game, pair that with decent missiles and u have urself an awesome plane

@Jake-rt4ry the mirage is better than any aircraft ive flown simply because the missiles ( airframe isn't bad) but compared to the su27 f15 f16 the mica just is leagues above the missile does all the work for you

personally i love the mica-em so go for the french line and you also get a free toptier f-16

You should remember every meta changer always came from Usa & Sov So I recommend always grind usa & sov top tier jet first

@EGGYBRETH they buffed mig29 and su27 radars up to 20km range with hms and the tws feels nicer now on the su27sm

Well, before, its radar barely managed to find targets flying straight towards it. If there were multiple targets, the radar's accuracy would become simply terrible. Now, you can detect, track, and lock on a little more easily. The radar is not the best, but it has improved a lot

Yup, you just have to get there first lol. Unfortunately the radar is annoying and doesn’t lock targets that quickly, so if you’re up close and have to engage multiple targets you’re gonna get caught with your pants down just trying to lock them

@@brokenpenguin-ob4gr Fumbling around with radar modes can be pretty slow and unwieldy, especially if there are flares being dropped, distracting the IRST.

People expect that at the start of the match, but not at the midpoint and past that.

5000m is a perfect spot where it's too high for enemy auto spotting while low enough to not leave any smoke trail. Climbing to that altitude in mid game give you a pretty big advantage

i dont have the su39, but i can try the su25tm, whick is pretty similar :)

positioning, you have a powerful radar and a good rwr in most planes, you already know which plane is seeing you on the radar, all of this is useful information to plan your departure, but unfortunately for most people the game only starts from 2 to 5 minutes after taking off

im using a fixed camo from the war thunder live, the default cammo is really bad, i have the links in the description

@@giveashot8763 i have more fun with the ir missiles in the flanker but aim120 is so much better than the other fox3s that it carries the plane even though it has a good fm

R-77 is still ass, and the SM's radar really struggles with TWS, meaning you have to both get uncomfortably close and guide it on target with a hard lock, like some glorified Fox 1. Su-27 needed the buffs, but F-15 is still a massively better aircraft.

I like both equally; I love heavy fighters

@@cdeAB-tb9bm I'm not slinging spamraam, dude. I've used AIM-120, AAM-4, MICA and R-77, and I can 100% certainly tell you that R-77 is the worst of them all. It's like the difference between an AIM-7E-2 and AIM-7F - R-77 practically falls out of the sky the moment its booster runs out, making it unreliable at shots above 10 km (unless the target does absolutely nothing about it), and ANY active missile will be good at short range. Add to that the fact that the Su-27's radar struggles with TWS, and you can't even help your missile break through sloppy notching without holding the target in a hard lock, sort of defeating the purpose of having active homing. TL;DR - R-77 just doesn't have any noteworthy advantages over the other missiles of its class, while its drawbacks are comparatively noticeable. The plane's janky radar doesn't help things. Therefore... The missile kinda sucks. It's useable, but you're always going to be at a disadvantage.

That alone upgrades the radar from "complete trash" to "somewhat useable"

@@cdeAB-tb9bm Afaik, the radar's refresh nerf wasn't touched - however, the IRST's refresh rate got severely nerfed, making it practically unusable for locating targets, unless you already know where to look.
