~TL Notes~ 3:29 - She's referencing the comedy duo, Joyman. She says "nanda koitsu" (What's with/wrong with x) which then links her brain to Joyman which makes her say, "Here we go!"(I had typed Joyboy instead of Joyman at first, lol) Basically, how a Joyman sketch goes is the straight-man is on stage and is in some kind of conundrum, trying to figure out a good way to memorize something, wants a girlfriend, etc. And then the funny man would come out and shout, "Here we go! Come on!" and start doing a weird dance (Which would prompt the straight-man to say, "nanda koitsuuuu?!") and sorta "rap" and come up with solutions that barely made sense but rhymed. And of course the straight-man would get upset and be like, what the hell is up with that song? and other retorts. 3:30 - "futa wo akete mireba" (literally "if you open a lid and look") This is like when you think something or a situation is a certain way but it turns out to be different when you actually experience it. 5:58 - #そういうとこやぞ儒烏風亭らでん (# sou iu toko yazo juufuutei raden, if you wanna know how to say it) I've lost count of how many hashtags she has at this point. lol
The 2nd paragraph stil says Joyboy lol. The One Piece brainrot is real, also I've never heard of this Joyman duo before, but that's definitely where Oda got the name from.
I kinda get what she's saying, but i'm getting the impression that she's using some expressions or combinations of words that aren't exactly... how my brain is expecting them to come out, so by the i've fired the "ah, ok. That's what she meant.", she's already 10 sentences away. Raden = speeeed!
wow, this was a 6m30s clip but it did not feel like that at all! I've watched 2-3min clips that feel like it's 8mins but Raden on the otherhand is so engaging to listen to, they really struck gold with her! she's so entertaining
Turns out Raden is not too busy or an isolationist, she's just a bit pon with her configs 😂 Now, massive kudos to Pekora for going out of her way to friend JFR. She's the kinda senpai every good person should have.
Good thing it wasn't left to fester long enough to create resentment. Either because she let slip she was lonely, or because Peko-chan went out of her way to talk to her. Ostracism and isolation are easy causes for quitting a work environment, and we'd have lost much from Raden graduating like Mano Aloe did.
Raden and Ririka always has misunderstandings and it is so funny, like that time when they are collabing and Raden went for an idol meeting and when she came back she didnt understand what Ririka was talking about and apologized to everyone. 😅
I really like her energy and she has a great model too... Too bad my japanese is not nearly good enough to understand her (especially since she speaks so freaking fast oO).
The more I listen to Raden, the more I'm convinced that, just like Raora is EN version of Towa, Raden is JP version of Kiara. In terms of how they speak and laugh, not in terms of personality etc. the personalities are all very unique. Only their voices are similar.
Raden thinking she's banned from collabs while gaving her friends requests turned off is one of the most Raden's thing to happen lol At least now she can finally be happy in a lot of collabs and talk with others holomembers
Ririka reaction is perfect lmao! Good job making her panicked before figuring out the rest! Props for Pekora taking the rounded way, or we might have weird conspiracy floating around.
Yagoo : How high is it ? A-chan : It's over 9000 sir Yagoo : We are reaching levels of pon that should not be possible, but let's continue and see how fare we can go
Pls understand, senpai.. Our grandma here is not good with technology. I mean like even Suisei who had super busy schedule watched Raden a lot (she repeated "o mizu no nomimazu" term often in her stream) Also her worry is kinda like what Kaichou had. But in the end, Hololive also can form a small group where everyone can feel comfortable with.
I'm glad to hear that she got a bunch of friend requests after she fixed the problem. That must have been such a relief after fearing she was being intentionally excluded
did discord update fricked her settings? that must've been a bit of dejecting period before she realized her permission was off, I can only imagine lol
It's amazing that the one who went to the extra trouble to try to reach out to Raden is Pekora, who used to be so horrible with social anxiety. Our royal bunny war criminal has come a long way.
That's fair, she was talking to her Japanese audience and I just assumed most people that watch hololive in the west knew what it was by now It's basically just a messaging service that most people in Japan use. It's got other SNS functions like timelines, but people usually just use it for messaging and creating groups for planning events and such. There's also a store where you can send people gifts, a massive stamp store (I think most holomems have their own stamps in the store), there's a prepaid debit card if you attach your bank info and there's also a credit card maybe(this is useful for vending machines and stuff with scanners so you can just wave your phone over it and pay for whatever). There's prolly more, but I mostly only used it for messaging people when I lived there.
@@statskytl that's literally what she said so that's not your mistake or anything, I just pointed out I'm even less familiar with Line than Discord but that's not because I don't know these things in general but just because I'm too old to switch over to this new stuff
Back then, on early to mid 19th century (1800s - 1850s) Tokugawa Shogunate enforced a law to close it's border from foreign visitors, especially western people. After the shogunate sees many western ships roaming around their waters, and threatening their ports (see Nagasaki Harbor incident) On 1854, Commodore Matthew C. Perry from US led his fleet to Japan to force Japanese shogunate to open their border for foreign visitor especially for US ships. Ended with the signing (under threat of force) of Kanagawa Treaty / Japan-US Treaty of Peace and Amity, which allowed US ships to land on specific Japanese Harbors. The treaty also forced the Japanese Shogunate to provide and gives the US ships "favourable advantages" should the US need it. So yeah, you can say he was the one who opened the way for US colonialism on Japan.
@@tsukinoyuki Well. Isolation was a response to prevent being colonized by Europeans like every other Asian country was. It also kept opium out. Admiral Perry's arrival is a historical inflection point that set off a civil war and a militaristic, outward-facing government with the Emperor as the head. They then started colonizing Asia.
@@grilledflatbread4692 yeah, his coming was one of the vital point that caused the end of Tokugawa Shogunate of Edo era, and starting the Meiji era, which sparked the Japs interest in invading China (Sino-Japanese war) that led to Japs starting WWII on Pacific region. So yeah, Thank you so much Perry. Lol
Thank you everyone. I had no idea the U.S. had been so aggressive in it's dealings with Japan prior to WW2. I'm definitely going to have to research the Nagasaki Incident. While the real life situation was unfortunate the image of Pekora standing outside Raden's Discord with a warship is very funny. 🐰
I guess Raden didnt get the memo. If you dont actively ask / request for a collab its gonna be hard to get a collab going with the regular talents not only are they extremely busy, a lot of them prefer being reached out to Edit: oh its a discord pon
I'm guessing that at some point she (or her manager) changed it thinking that it'd help ward off any strangers who guessed her handle without realizing that it'd lock out other holomem as well.
The fact that Raden's name is so close to Raiden, as in the Raiden Shogun from Genshin Impact, and she had her "borders closed" lmao was I the only one who noticed this
Discord is the main channel for communicating in Hololive and pretty much anything gaming. How the hell did the settings changed and how come she or Mane-chan looked at the settings?
