So pleased to see you back on "the line." Hope you are well healed after your medical procedure in June. Stobe would be so pleased with your documentaries. Regards.
As a part of Norfolk Southern's 30th anniversary, the company painted 20 new locomotives into predecessor schemes. NS #8103, a GE ES44AC, was painted into the Norfolk and Western's blue scheme
This old man just lives to ride.if you see him, help him to ride warm and eat.god will bless you for it.thank you n&w ,n&s employees for your kindness to shoestring..
Oh, ok, I live in Southeastern, Ky. and since the coal industry has pretty much went bust I do not see very many trains with what we call the "coal gons"; it is so bad that C.S.X. took up the tracks across from my house, and they had been there for around 90 years. I enjoy your adventures and best of luck to you Shoestring!!!
I grew up in Radford. My grandfather worked for Norfolk & Western there. The white structures in the background are part of the Dedmon Athletic Center of Radford University.
@shoestring there is a app u can download that u put in the 4 number from the Diamond looking card on sides of tankers..... it identifies types materials inside...... most of the time in the app store u can search for placard and find something close.....
Chainsaw12181943,I was pleased to find this going through Your video's My Dad and Me have filmed up in Radford for years and My Son and Mom with Us sometimes, also filmed alot at Walton which is in Radford where the WYE track junction and crossovers are located and the Bristol line AKA Crescent Corridor splits off from the Bluefield line Heartland Corridor, also filmed at Vicker,Christiansburgh,Montgomery Tunnel and Roanoke.

I can't wait! My kids are 16,14,13, & 12. Or as I like to think of it 2,4,5,&6. (Years til they're 18!) I just want to see parts of the country I've never seen before. Plus, I'm a suckered for a good adventure. Safe travels my friend. Hope to see you out there one day.
At 7:18 you was going towards christianburg. That was Radford university you passed also. Yep I'm straight across the river from you. That's just so cool. I can hear the trains from my house. I forget about the train yard over there. Lol. My bad your heading towards Dublin. I seen the Radford workout place and it's the last thing going out of town going towards cburg but your actually going towards Dublin.
@@johngetman1816 literally just type out the time you want like this where the Xs are just the numbers X:XX. Nothing fancy 0:01 1:00 3:45 easy as 1 2 3
So glad you're back to health and hitting them rails bro.. safe travels my friend.. and cant wait for all the video's.. and hey quick question.. when you hear that high pitched squeal when the trains passes, what is that. Is it a bad wheel or what??
Can we see more of you preparing to board a rain and how you choose a car to get on each time , is it just want you fancy or just what there is ! I would love to see you get on if you can
Hi there dood.. At 1:20, there's cars driving along the road, the other side of the parked rake of wagons. It looks like you're either taking a huge risk, by letting them clock you stood right by their train, or, there's no risk at all, and you know that they really just don't care that you're obviously taking a free, and, illegal ride to wherever your trains gonna end up at. So, I guess what I'm trying to find out is, do the railway staff just not care that you're what you're doing, or, do you know something that I don't.? ❤️ LOVE THE VIDS❤️. Keep'em coming. RICH (UK) 🥰🥰🥰.
I know I've seen and read this the hundred thousand times lol the cameras today 2020 compared to this video night and day much love professional hobo shoestring
@@thomassoifer7412 thanks I waited by the Pepsi side and caught a coal train dpu that was unlocked. All the other 50 coal trains were locked so I was amazed. Took me just past Pueblo to this power plant.
@@thomassoifer7412 I bailed off just in time because a vehicle rolled up with police spotlight shining it over the dpu and I hopped of the other side. Now to cowboy camp and walk into pueblo tomorrow.
I don’t want to appear to be a dip shit but after so many years you really don’t settle down you have a base camp house with all your stuff and you just love traveling is kind of in your blood thing right you’re making a few bucks on your RU-vid channel which is good for you happy happy I would maybe call it a charmed life
