I always knew that I could use clone tile instead of transform to manipulate the rotation much better... I just did not know how... this has helped me alot ... Thank you so much

Thanks a lot, that was pretty helpful! I wasted a lot of time till I realized that to recreate (like in 3:40) the tile after it's done I have to uncheck the "Use saved size and position of the tile" checkbox :)

Thank you very much. Really well explained. I just have a question, does anyone now what the -100 means on the shift tab in the create tile clones window?

Normally the tiling would want to spread each clone into a new column e.g. out to the right. Adding -100% means it shifts the clone back to the starting point (relative to the centre point) so that they all share the same centre point. If you don't want circles, then you can ignore that bit.

Hi Carolyn, I'm wondering is there a way to tile clones with a specific center of measurement? I am wanting 2-1/2 inches in between the inner edge of the circles. I hope that makes sense. Thanks for all your great videos!

When I leave my original path highlighted, create an array of stars, move the center point, hit create again, I get a second array of stars, yours creates a new ring of stars, why would mine do that? Thanks anyone who can help!

Sorry forgot to say. Have down loaded 0.92 version inkscape. Does this make any difference
