This is a quick video that goes over the Radian Ramjet & Afterburner and my thoughts towards it. Friends' Channels (RU-vid/Twitch): / @kopskey1 / diablohunter10 / lilpigeon94
Are you replacing the recoil spring every so often? While it might be a good thing at first, it won't be when your pistol fails to cycle possibly at the worst time.
@@Dan-di9jd could you elaborate on the connection between recoil spring wear and the compensator? I'm struggling to find the connection between your post and mine.
@@ericw8464 you said you got a compensator which increases back pressure thus putting more wear on the recoil spring. Are you using a stock one or did you upgrade? And if not are you replacing them in an interval or are you just not shooting that often?
@Dan-di9jd no I said I carry with a compensator that reduces muzzle rise. Back pressure is virtually unchanged as it relates to slide reciprocation force. You're not changing anything but the direction of the gas after it's already left the barrel.. I have changed my recoil spring after a few thousand rounds but it was not due to failure, it was simply to get a titanium guide rod.
@@ericw8464 got it. That’s rather interesting since I had a pistol where the recoil spring went after a few thousand rounds through it. Not sure if I want to do it with a glock considering it’s polymer frame.
Just found out about this yesterday and I'm definitely now waiting for it to come back into stock for my G45. I think it was an absolutely brilliant move by Radian to make a barrel/comp that is 50 state compliant since I'm from CA and with the prestige Radian has, they'll have a strong buyer base for years!
I ordered one from Optics Planet on 5/2 and still waiting. My local gun store/range just got them. Gonna go buy it then cancel my order with Optics Planet.
@@HuntingtonBeachBadBoy gotchu bro, I found one on midway USA last week and I got an email notification for Rooftop so I figured I’d spread the love lol
@@CBTactical currently just got the Xr920 elite variant (glock 19x) and I’m debating on getting one. For shadow system you need a gen 4 for future reference.
@@CBTactical sorry if its cheesy man, but don't ever let gross or bad comments get you down. This Radian review video was enough for me to subscribe, keep up the effort, happy to see more
Solid video. Well done! I recently emailed Radian and asked about a kit for the Glock 17. They said that it's in the works. I can't wait ;) Looks like it would fit within G34/G35 holsters.
I have one on my ZEV OZ9C with a tungsten guide rod and 15 lb recoil spring. I tried a 13 lb spring but it was a bit light without taking some weight out of the slide. I love it and have had no issues.
I probably will just give in and purchase this and the compressor guide rod as well. I have seen countless great reviews on this produtcs but i would never do it because of the price being almost have the cost of my G45. Then i had to think great quality isnt going to be cheap thats why Radiant Weapons is so well reviewed. So i am going to get it
Solid video, I wish all reviewers kept it simple like this. You got a new subscriber. What place did you end up ordering it from? I’ve been hunting for a GEN 5 one for a while. Thanks!
Thank you my friend I appreciate it. I got mine from Optics Planet, but I back ordered it and it ended up taking 4 months to get. They are unobtaneium right now. I would back order it from wherever you can and turn on email or text notifications from other sites so you’ll be notified immediately when they come in stock. Stay safe my brother!
As of right now, Rooftop Defense still has some. They came in stock with about 100 of them and they're down to 30 or so. If you've got the moolah it's worth it.
I got mine for my 19.5 on gunbroker in about a week. It cost me a bit more but I was waiting for over 2 months on backorder from regular sites. It's a game changer.
I have one....its expensive but you will notice a difference. It returns to zero almost immediately, the one thing that i noticed is that the ejection patterns are a bit more sparratic, l kept the stock spring. Turns your 19 into a 17 length. So overall lm extremely happy with its not snake oil or hype. It does work. However I think i wouldn't want to have to use it in a defensive situation as the police would confiscate my tuned gun. It is dope all jokes aside.
I got one just for the novelty to play around... But it be said, nah, not really needed... It's a 9-mil..!?! What recoil...!?! 🙄😅 There are not many shooters out there that can take advantage of the reduced muzzle flip... 😉 Just spend the $$$ training! ✊
There are still good options for you my friend. There are ruger LCP in 380, she retails for around $260 and has a light slide. There’s also a smith and Wesson m&p EZ in 380, which retails for around $450. Smith and Wesson body guard in 380 is going to retail around $430 and is a revolver. There are some Taurus’ as well that you can get into. I would also look at buying used too as this will allow for more cheaper options. Let me know what you get.
Honestly, Radian products are overpriced. Are they quality products? Absolutely. Fit and finish are top notch. Packaging is stellar. They innovate and also utilize top tier products like Shilen barrels and Azimuth bcgs when they aren't manufacturing their own parts. 75%ish of Radian AR15s are manufactured by Radian and the AR15s are put together by one gunsmith, part for part and tolerances checked. They are pretty heavy when compared to other manufacturers with the same barrel lengths and calibers but they're basically charging you and extra $750-$1000 (when compared to buying the exact parts separately and building it yourself) just for comparison.
Comps generally will increase your bullet velocity which will have more expansion and penetration of your round, especially if you have a hot load and/or a lighter recoil spring.
Bruh, you have a twin brother on 90day fiancé. His name is Jamal, his mom was on the show her name was Kim. Look it up, he’s gotta be your doppelgänger
@@CBTactical Idk if shadow systems is still making the compensated pistol but they have some good ones at around 1k but it’s whatever you prefer I’m just saying if you get a Glock and ramjet you already spent 1k
@@SilentReaper89I understand where your coming from.... But if your used to a Glock and the Glock feel there isn't anything on the market that shoots as good as a custom Glock with a ported or comped barrel. I've tried zev and shadow systems and a custom Glock shoots better and feels better than those. I like my zev oz9 guns but I trust my Gucci glocks. more than the zev and my shadow systems.
I have 2 SS the MR920 elite and the xr920 elite with comp Yes SS looks better and for price you get a lot But you can’t beat the Glock for reliability Ramjet comp looks better then a lot of the competitors
