Radio Caroline The boat that rocked real edit 

It's amazing the influence that this station has had on different generations throughout their time broadcasting, Caroline and big L were a major part of a time we used to call swinging London, being younger my favourite time was the 70s and 80s listening to Roger Mathews. My brother has visited the ship on quite a few occasions and had photos taken in the DJ seat and even tries to impress people by telling them he was a DJ, but hey who can blame him

With their full power on 963 up that audaciously big antenna I was able to get it on a portable radio in Norway.

I received Caroline from de Ross Revenge on 963kz in september 1984 in the evenings on a Grundig Satellit 3400 AM receiver in Davos Switserland without any problems! That was great! I was on vacation that time I live in Holland.

For me, the very end of Radio Caroline was with Neil Gates at 01.00hrs on 5th November 1991. After that it was all over.

I used to listen to Radio Caroline on the Orpington new age traveller site in 1987, it was the same few songs going round and round.

@kounoupiaa most dj's and ppl behind the the radio station are the same .
