Prototype 3 - Radio Control boat parking for disabled using old wheelchair parts and a Dynamic Shark RC Arduino shield i designed and built myself. Programing code and build history is available over on Wheelchairdriver.com
Hey brother I know this video is half ad ecade old by now, but its EXACTLY what I was looking for! I want to do this same thing, except I am going to drop a badass lithium battery in it, along with a super powerful sabertooth ESC to push the motors. Havent decided on tires or not yet!
What a great device Tony, I want one!! However I would be a little concerned if it was on a steep ramp that it might all end up in the drink! I'd love to watch the testing :-)
The base is load rated to 136kg with automatic electromagnetic brakes, so the base can handle it but not sure there would be enough grip on the tyres....so yeah a dunking is definitely a possibility. The rig is only for getting the boat out to the car for towing, down the track i plan on adding 'beach wheels' to the Polycraft and towing the boat on its own with out the trailer. Moving the Ball hitch forward and adjustable 'anti tip' wheels and i should be good to go.
The page for the RC unit is complete but only works for SHARK Power Modules, you have a 'VSI' controller on the Jazzy 1133 and would need a different system, there is information on various methods on wheelchairdriver.com
