Thank you thank you thank you, I tried changing the number 79 fuse and everything, everything worked except radio was blank removing and replacing number 88 fuse was the ticket the radio had gotten stuck or something it rebooted normally and restarted I can't say it enough thanks so much (btw mine is a 2014 Ford cmax enegi but the fuse set up is similar enough to your car).
Thank you for the video. We were having a lot of static noise in the car. Our 2012 Ford did not have an 88 in the slot. We did change 75 and 89 and the radio doesnt work, and so far no static.

Thanks for this. My 2014 Focus stereo has been making a terrible loud noise and I read that removing the fuse would get it to stop until I can get it genuinely fixed. Having a video like this that shows the way was SO helpful.
That was my problem for a while. My 2013 C-Max speakers would make this loud popping sound, almost like there was a short in it, even when the stereo was turned off. Eventually, the whole thing just went kaput, and I'm trying to find the best way to get it repaired for less than what the dealership is asking.
FerGames my Ford Focus did the same exact thing. Sometimes the display comes on, but I’m not able to adjust the time and the radio does not work at all. Did you find a solution for your car? Dealership was asking $800 to fix mine and I can’t justify that for a radio...
@@kenzieharrington9268 The only things that stay on the display are the time, date, and temperature. Whenever I press the stereo power button, nothing happens. I tried taking apart the system, and nothing seems disconnected or blown. But my dealership was also asking for something similar.
FerGames yes! Same with mine! I bought all the fuses to try to replace and I’ll let you know how it goes tomorrow when I replace them all. Fingers crossed but I highly doubt it’s going to do anything
Kenzie Baird Did it work for you? My car has had the popping noises for a while and now the radio just went and no buttons work and it will only show time date ect. Like everyone else here. I’m desperate 😭
Wow! Thanks this worked on my focus mk3 2011 - fuse 79 took me 5 minutes, 1 minute to fix and four to find some pliers to remove the old fuse :) Thanks again really helpful and cost saving.
What was your radio doing to indicate a fault mate? My radio has stopped responding and lighting up but the little screen above it is still on but just showing the time..
@@DanHughes87ame with mine it sometimes shows the blue squares but frozen and just shows the time date and year but other than that, the radio buttons don’t light up and my steering wheel controls don’t light up. i also have a system in my car and my wires for my lc2i pro are connected to the speaker wires behind the radio and not even my amp or lc2i light up
Any known fix on a 2013 Focus for the radio popping? I’ve searched and searched the forums and can’t seem to find anything. Your channels have helped immensely with fixing my car’s issues, so I was wondering if there’s something to be done.
@@Syieher if you pull the 7.5 amp fuse out it stops it. My clock still works. I’m gonna try a new radio. Seems like the easiest cheapest place to start.

hello thanks to you I solved the problem I had with the car radio fuse. I changed the two 15 ah qieloo fuses and the 7.5 one the radio started perfectly, but after 2 hours I restarted the car and they broke again. do you know if maybe there is another fuse that I have to check, that makes me briciare the jewels that I have changed? thank you very much for your advice and the video
Hey. What about if I can turn radio on just after a driving a while? After like 10-15 minutes? Fuses ok. For first 15 minutes, radio and all stereo is off even no lights on buttons. Then after few minutes lights on and I can turn radio, cd and aux on.
@@h8nteredwards645 Hi. No, I didn't found an answer for this. Seems to be a problem with radio panel and that green integrated circuit inside. I found used panel with all buttons on ebay for 22£. Swap them and it's working perfectly. You can just take green integrated circuit from inside. Hope this helps You.

I don’t see a 25amp fuse on my fuse box. :/. My whole infotainment screen went black one morning after working flawlessly the day before. It’s a 2018 focus sel. Any ideas or tips would be appreciated. I’ve tried holding the power button and the next arrow. I’ve tried disconnecting the battery cables.
@@bcureton9941 no. It’s the api module that went bad. You can order a refurbished one online for 120-200. Or you can buy a new model for 600. Ford will charge you $150/hour just to look at it where I live. My best advice. Sell your car and get a Honda or Toyota. I just put a water pump on mine yesterday after the one the dealership put on 30k miles ago broke. I hope you can find the answers you need tho. I wish you good luck truly.
I steam cleaned the radios buttons on my 2016 focus se And now I don’t have any sound Radio turns on, every button works fine. Just no sound. I checked the fuses and nothing. Could it be that I just need to replace the module that has the buttons?

Hello mate. I have same Ford Focus Mk3 2012 with SAT NAV, USB and aux port inside the glove compartment. Problem is the aux jack port is not working. No matter what I plugin, no sound comes out on the radio speakers. Do you have any clue why this is happening? Appreciate all the help.
you need to check the continuity from the Aux port to the end of the connector where it plugged into the radio - the wire has likely been damaged (Squashed or cut into) or dislodged when working on the trim there
The center display on mine is on, but stays black. I checked the fuses under the glove box. No burned ones. I'm thinking I have a bad connection to the screen or a burned out component on the mainboard (behind the screen). If I dig back there, I'll probably take video and upload.
I have the same problem. It has to do with the phone updates. It shuts down. To resolve this problem you need to recete the stereo system. This is the 2nd time. I took it to the dealer the last time and they fixed it. Know I got take it in again. Trying to find a video on how to recete the stereo system.
