@@OctPSfeverLet me say one thing: Contrary to what many think, Adam was not the first to be considered to be Queen's singer, in fact, Brian was talking to a South American singer to take over the role of the band's frontman and conversations were evolving. But then they met Adam, so plans changed. Brian and Roger won't tell you this, but if Adam didn't show up, they'd be with the South American corner.
It was my second time seeing them a Little Caesar’s Arena. A couple of years back for me and my wife’s anniversary. This time for my birthday. Adam Lambert is awesome
Brian May is so cool. Still sounds and looks great. Not a bad guitar player for it just being a hobby since he’s actually an astrophysicist. Probably one of the smartest guys in rock and roll. And a really nice person too.
Brian indeed *studied* astrophysics, but he never worked as an astrophysicist. He worked and still works as Queen's guitar player, so, no, guitar playing isn't just his hobby. Just putting the facts straight. I love Brian.
Thank you brother for sharing this piece of royalty with us QAL fans and dearest 🎇🎇❇❇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇Adam is channeling 👑😍😍😍😍😍😍Queen perfectly and he's the best singer on earth.🌙🌏 I'm Elliott Adam . ❤🍸
@@zight2 PHENONINAL!!! (BTW just saw this when I came back to watch video lolol). I have been to many a concert over the years & this is at or near top of list. They sounded amazing, I respect no lip synching, auto tuned crap, click track etc. And had, by far, the best production value of any concert I've ever seen. My only complaint was too much going on to see it all. You'd need to see the show 10X, from diff parts of the arena. If you were looking right, there was pyro going off left. Films, stories, screens etc. I'd LOVE to see a full video from different areas. This was nearly the exact view I had, which was awesome for the band, but hard to see some of the screen (esp when Freddie was on...that was my only disappointment). But still great to relive and enjoy!!! I'm not complaining by any means. I used up my phone vid storage after a few videos. I deleted Zoom & most big apps and that only bought me a few more snippets LOL So really value those that got videos like this and shared them with us!!
Adam Lambert really gave off some Freddie Mercury vibes in that performance. I imagine that if Freddie was able to choose his own replacement, he would have chosen Adam. Adam Lambert is the most famous American Idol loser ever. (I still think he should have won.)
I'm thinking it already signed with Queen before the finals Queens probably told the producers of the show to come up with a way to let him leave gracefully
At list they could say something about what happened in festival music in Israel .i am a fan of qween and Adam . I am so disappointed from them that i wont to cry 😢
It's possible they don't want to make a political statement at a concert that has nothing to do with politics. What's happening in the Middle East is horrible. I've seen internet fighting over it that is disgusting. More hate than ever. I think Queen & Adam are right to say nothing in front of multiple thousands of people who are there to enjoy their show, not a political horror show, which it could turn into.
@@Sherekhumano Respect is earned precisely when you do things you don't *need* to do. Conversely, respect is lost when you only do things you need to do. A free crash course in some absolute basics of an evolved society. You're welcome.
@@MetteC5 I'm not talking about that subject and I know that respect is a thing that we need. But isn't necessary to request for all the singers in the world to talk about a thing, when they are just doing their work. This is a important thing? Yes, it is. But isn't a thing that all artists need to manifest a opinion about it. Don't oblige all of them to talk about a thing. You're welcome.
I am having a hard time seeing Queen without Freddie and John Deacon. Adam does do a nice job though. I should have gone when Psul Rodgers was singing with them
oh man!! that lost poweranger... sure he can sing better than many, THE BAND SOUNDS GREAT but MERCURY would need no more than some white shorts to have impact on anyone
Adam doesn’t NEED the costumes. He just loves to play with costumes, his hair, and eye makeup. His voice and s stand alone amazing. The rest is just for fun. Have you forgotten Freddie’s black & white harlequin leotard? His crown and cape? He loved to play with costumes too.
Adam may be no Freddie Mercury but his own voice range is just like Freddie's off the voice chart but I don't think that Adam can sing opera like Freddie could.
Why? If I want to listen to freddie I want to listen to freddie.....and I do....plenty of videos and Spotify etc. I don’t want to listen to Brian and roger and ‘someone who tries to be freddie’.
So that is you opinion, but obviously not the opinion of Brian and Roger. They opted for the amazing singer who also brought the stage presence, camp, flamboyance, charisma and theatrics Queen was known for. He is also able to honor Freddie without imitating him.
@@sasha07775 Roger actually wanted Marc years ago, but Brian didn't. Thought he sounded too much like Freddie. Roger I believe owns or sponsors Marc's band. He does play with him on occasion.
@@anakina1 Got proof? Roger had only played 1 song once or twice while Marc was in QE. Marc started his own tribute band in 2017 leaving QE in a lurch. As far as I know they have had no contact since.
If this group didn't sail under the name Queen, the reviews would be different, more honest. The stage show would be praised, at the same time the idea of distracting from a lack of skill would be discussed.
@@arcadianluna2605 Then take a closer look, Roger Taylor loses visually to the second drummer, but wins against him acoustically. The situation is similar with Brian May. His guitar playing doesn't match the guitar tones. Which is completely normal. Compare these songs from the Queen period with the last QUAL performances. Either they exaggerated massively back then or today the sound technology has to be used.
You have absolutely no clue what you’re talking about. Just making up lies to disparage these iconic, legendary musicians. Queen has always said they take great pride in their concerts Always being a live experience.
@@carolhagerty4288 Well, not exactly lies, apparently I was wrong. I'm sorry. How could I confuse these two great Queen instrumentalists, singers and songwriters with the QUAL owners? It's unforgivable just because these two happen to have the same names. Sorry Queen Brian May, sorry Queen Roger Taylor. I should have noticed that.
@@HundXanthippesnoopy, the old troll..you're back😂. Addendum: 2 days later..since the dawn of civilization..beautiful and SUCCESSFUL people like Adam Lambert has hateful followers snoopy. GET LOST TROLL..
What a nasty and homophonic thing to say you should be ashamed, you don’t like him but there is no need to insult him. Adam is the perfect match for QAL, he has an unbelievable voice, simple answer you don’t like don’t bloody watch. Sometimes you can’t fix stupid.
@@xmasbunnyscotland5355 it has nothing to do with him being gay,i love Queen & Freddie,, best band ever, its just his whole look & the way he presents himself is really annoying, its over the top, he does have a good voice, but theres a lot of bad habbits in the way he sings, its fake, just be more natural & i would like him a lot better
@@brianthomasflooring Of course you're entitled to your opinion, I am a Queen Fan and loved Freddie don't you remember his appearances and what he wore on stage? Comparing Adam to a Drag/Gary Glitter Show is well beyond a joke there is no comparison, yes he dresses up for the stage so what? Adam is a true professional and there is nothing fake about him like Freddie he is a kind and humble man. You don't like him that's your preference, QAL have millions of worldwide fans so you won't be missed.
You MM Fans have a bloody cheek coming on to a QAL Video to pimp that Freddie imitator, you’re 12 years too late. Brian and Roger would never tarnish Freddie’s memory with an imitator. Sometimes you can’t fix stupid.
Insignificant Marc..the pretender has been a faker..acting gay..sashaying like a stupid fool live on stage since 2012. Insipid marc failed singing Christian music in Canada, failed mimicking Sir Elton John, Rob Halford, George Michael, and Adam Lambert. I find it interesting that insipid Marc doesn't copy nor mimic Paul Rodgers..QUEEN'S only straight frontman out of 3. Is marc a closet gay?
The brand "Queen" will always attract people because it is one of the best rock bands to ever exist. It always amazes me when someone comes along who thinks that only what suits their musical taste is OK.
@@nevermore1963 I don't really care what your personal taste is and I have no intention of changing it at all. But your personal taste is not a measure of the quality of other music.
@@1tchavey I couldn’t think of anything worse. I don’t even like live performances sounding like a recorded version. It’s fake. And the idea of someone sounding like a dead person up there singing with his band mates is just weird. Why would any true artist/performer want that job.
@@1tchaveywhy would you want to go to a concert and hear the exact same thing as before or like a recording? What a waste of money. I could stay home for free and play records. And Freddie is unique. Can’t be copied. The attempts sounds horrible/off/weird. And they always do songs they can’t do, either no strength in the end of their range like Freddie had or sound nothing like freddie in that part of their range. Is it because today’s audiences call people singing to backing tracks to fill out their voices a ‘live concert’ these days that things have to be like the records now? It all seems preordained and planned to a t and nothing spontaneous at all. Like ‘interrupt my concert to yell at something happening in the crowd and I have to jump back into my song 3 lines away as my voice keeps going in the background type stuff is live now.
I cant even express how unimpressive this is compared to original Queen. I have a new respect for Led Zeppelin for hanging it up after Bohnam Died. They could have reinvented themselves and moved on but now they are just a shadow.
After Freddie Mercury's death in 1991, Paul Rodgers was QUEENS frontman from 2004 to 2008 and Adam Lambert from 2011 to date. In 2014, Freddie Mercury's mum voiced her wish that Adam Lambert be Queens permanent frontman. Sir Brian May, Roger Taylor and Phil Spike Edney fell in love with Adam Lambert's voice, range, pitch, resonance, tone and natural showmanship way back in 2009. There's absolutely no competition between Adam Lambert and Paul Rodgers...they were both chosen.
So you're not a Queen Fan then? Brian and Roger are still Queen are they not allowed to continue what they love doing? That is not a thing he is Adam F'ing Lambert the best thing to ever happen to Queen, he has given them a new lease of life, he is NOT a replacement for Freddie who by the way is IRREPLACEABLE, he sings Queen's Songs his own way and does a brilliant job. If you don't like don't watch, QAL have millions of fans so you won't be missed.
