This (in the the original version) was played at our wedding. If someone sings this to you or plays it to you then you've got a lifer. Just say yes or "I do", "I will" or even "damn right I fscking will". Commitment lies in these lines. Grab that and be happy TOGETHER. We are

I love Bono and Lady Gaga. They come from different genres and generations of music. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to sing in a large stadium with a huge loud crowd, particularly with someone you're not used to singing with. There's so much going on up on the stage, and I doubt they had much time to rehearse. With that being said, IMO, the two songs didn't connect or flow together. Shallow doesn't seem to be in Bono's wheelhouse to showcase his voice, while it was a huge hit for Lady Gaga. I seems Bono realized that and gave her the floor, which was very respectful to her.
Saw them back in Limerick many many years ago at the start, been some brilliant times, though not many for a long long time, sometimes better to exit gracefully than rich - my 20 something kids have no idea who these guys are and 0 chance of paying to see them
They just played 40 shows in the same city, sold over 700,000 tickets and grossed 187 million dollars, you and your kids definitely do not represent the masses lol
This performance felt weird. It seemed like Lady Gaga really didn’t want to be there. Every time Bono would rest his arm on her or touch her, she would move away. But then she hugged the Edge.
Seems like y'all aren't used to live humans singing live or something! Maybe it's just too much for you when two of the most woke entertainers ever meet up for a performance... and god forbid one is a woman lol. This was a slow build but turned out beautifully. And once again Gaga finds her voice for any genre ❤
It breaks my heart to say it but U2 are a shadow of what they used to be as a live band. I couldn't go to the concerts because I didn't want to spoil the memory of everything that came before. Hope everyone who went had a great night.
Bull shit. Bono can’t quite hit all the big notes he use to do, but he can hit many of them, and the ones he can’t he has learned to sing well within his limitations. The rest of the band hasn’t missed a beat. I saw them at the Sphere- it was amazing. I don’t think you can make a reasonable argument against them if you are basing it off RU-vid videos vs. actually having seen them within the last year or two.
You're cheating yourself. Please go when you get a chance. It's okay for artists to change and grow and morph, just like we all do. It's a pleasure to be a part of it.
As much as I love U2 this wasn’t for me. You know something is wrong when a 2 hour show costs more than moving by air with luggage across the entire country by air. Thanks but no thanks. The cost is excessive.
Floor tickets were $260 dollars.. it’s a competitive market, and they’re charging substantially less than people like Taylor Swift, and Bruce Springsteen
Agree 100%. The only way I would justify paying that price is if involved a time machine and brought U2 ca. 1992 to the Sphere. I couldn’t even imagine the type of show that band could have put on with this technology🤯🤯
I know a guy who paid £5000 a ticket ,thats when you know you have too much money …. In 1979 I put them on in Blackpool at the lobster pot at 90 p a ticket that’s how times change……
@@drtonyhaworth5711could you please give us a point of reference there - how much was 1pt of milk, a loaf of bread, 1pt of lager, a portion of fish and chips. Thank you in advance.
@@user-nl3hi4uw3u a simple search on anything other than Google will answer your question. Don't take my word for it. If you're a fan of cannibals like gaga, then that is your problem. #rabbithole
MEH 🫤 IDK exactly what it is, but the duet with U2/Bono and Gaga sounds 👎 to me. Whether it’s bc of the songs choices or just that their voices don’t seem to mesh well together - in fact at times they almost sound as though they’re speaking the lyrics and not singing them. IMO neither one even seems to be putting much ‘emotion’, effort, or enthusiasm into the performance. I’m going on 70, and DO like them both - but NOT in THIS instance!
Well then you shouldn't be sad, because larry supports this. The band committed by contract to play the sphere in 2019, to the be the FIRST act to play it. Larry physically can't play because of his surgeries at the moment, if he had any issue with it, it wouldn't be happening. and he certainly wouldn't be hanging out at rehearsals, and also hanging out at the studio while the band kicks around new ideas.
U2 musicians, sometimes all together and sometimes in subsets, have collaborated with many musicians over the years; they have not stuck to "only us 4 no matter what," and the result has been enrichment for the world without taking away from the genius and devotion coming from the original four.
