Let's take a look at "satdump," your Universal Translator for radio satellites. Plug in an inexpensive software-defined-radio ($30 rtl_sdr), double-click a satellite, wait for a pass and press Start! Begin with NOAA and Meteor weather satellites, then move on to the more advanced Inmarsats or GOES with the proper equipment. (btw, APRS packet is on Inmar, anyone have this working?)

Oh man, I'm optimistic about this. In the past it was such a chore to download satellite images, really hoping it's this simple!! (Leave it to Craig for finding an easy solution!)

Interesting that it has those decoders built-in yet it can’t change the frequency (depending on the satellite) seems a little bit unusual

Don't need a Amp for geose sat and u can use the same antenna the neolec produce for weather sats

Targeting what radio? There are SDR apps that can listen and decode packets. The receive-only RTL-SDR Blog dongle is linked in Craig's video description.
