I was having the same problem for a long time, took my car to two different shops and they were saying I got a bad radio. I just so happened to be doing something and noticed my ground wire was really loose. I took it off clean it with a wire brush, cleaned the washer, and the mount points and haven't had a problem since.
@@lightfoot3056 the battery ground wire, I disconnected it, cleaned it with a wire brush and cleaned the spot where it was grounded to and haven't had any problems since.
It seems like no body has figured out what the problem is , I also have the same issue and after a while end up buying a new radio thinking my old radio was the problem but guess what? Even with a new radio still turning off, hope a professional can give us a solution to this problem.
I just had that problem on my 2011 silverado. I found a video where on the non bose systems the PAC adapter can't handle higher volume. You need to bypass the speaker wires from that connector onto the radio wiring harness. Sounds stupid but it worked for me. I upgraded my door speakers to kicker and it killed my radio at high volumes
Pioneer double din 2500nex, just installed 2 brand new Kenwood rated 30w 180w peak power and same thing low volume good high volume shuts off radio. Installed the pioneer 160w back in and no problems, crazy results. The kenwood does have a tweeter on it.
I have that same issue. My lights also flick. I tested my battery and alternator and everything was good. The car seemed to rough idle during the tests. So it’s shorting Out in some place in the harness
Going through this rn just left getting them tested alt was bad battery good still doing same thing after new alternator looking at my amp rn my ground is loose imma tighten it and see lights also flickering and it’s doing it when I hit bumps so something is definitely a connection issue
Update: I fixed my stereo, it was a faulty connection on one of the cable ports in the back of it, I found which pin it was in the port that was faulty/not having connection and fixed it.
Got a 05 Tahoe. Just sank 400 in a radio n 4 speakers. All wired correctly and. Mine is a power acoustic touch and. It’ll just turn off and just stay off. Iv check everything!! So. I’m hoping it’s. Maybe a ground. Or last resort the radio is bad.
My teuck does the same an the light flick an where the milesge goes it reset like if i restarted the truck an goes to the warning of changing oil or low tire everything flocks off an back on for a while
To see if anyone has had and resolved this issue it’s pretty self explanatory why lol come on man. I’m having the same issue with my 2013 Silverado LTZ oh and the reason for this post was to inform someone about the video you all just watched to help him help me 🤣😂
