Nuclear technologies benefit people everywhere. Radioactive sources are used to sterilize food and medical instruments, to develop improved crops and to diagnose and treat patients. Research reactors are used in science and for producing radioisotopes for medical use and 30 countries use nuclear power for energy production. These various uses of nuclear technologies generate waste like many other processes. To ensure that it poses no risk to people or the environment now and in the future all countries using nuclear technologies have the responsibility to manage radioactive waste safely and securely.

4:47 surely incinerating the waste would release radioactive particles into the atmosphere?

I finally understand the half life concept. So there is NO WAY the container holding this waste will out survive the waste.

LFTR would burn up 99% of the waste. The remainder is valuable isotopes.

Imagine what archeologists say when they unearth this horror 1000 years from now... "Wow! They were all retarded!" lol That is if anyone's still alive.

I think we would be better off separating the neculi recycling for reuse as new fual cells and taking the wast from that using to break down it would give less wast and the wast their is would take less time to break down. also if we took the wast we have that is in exceptable amount and spred it out threw the world then over time are body would adapt to it and we would be able to tolerate more and more and some day years from now people would be amunt to it. or one other thing we could do that would work better is quit using nucular stuff we no longer need it.
