I have an Anytone 5555 which i bought quite awhile ago and it came with the ukfm programmed and had good contacts on 12m,11m and 10m......this particular radio is good if you want a few hf and a vhf band i.e. 2m while out mobile..nice review Dave, cheers from Kent.
Thanks for your support Roger, this radio is an upgraded model (check out mostypostie1 comment below for the full details), it really is a cracking radio 🙂
I used to have a CRE-8900. I had DTB Radio up in Pennsylvania to tune it and ran it in my mobile and hooked up to a Sirio Antenne. I found the QT60 on RU-vid today and I ended up finding out about the QT80 (80 watts)which no jumper wire to cut but move the jumper pins over one slot to get 10,11,12,and 15 meters.
Here are the changes in these new "short case" radios, compared to the older versions: - No more VFO RX step muting - CTCSS TONE readout (Hz) and CTCSS scanning. - WX RX, with VHF RX VFO from 136-174MHz FM. - Channel overwrite issues of the old radios, fixed - LCD dimmer control - VOX improvements (VOX.SPK and VOL.PATH) - will support digi modes via the mic socket just like the 6666PRO can. - CW mode - FM Dev 2K/4K - SSB TX Bandwidth 3K/4K - AGC Fast/Slow - 100 memory channels (up from 6) 73
Thanks for your kind information. You certainly know about these new radios. Are you in the Trade or an RF Engineer mostlypostie1?. You have helped the channel out on a few occasions now, which I thankyou for. All the best, Dave M0OGY🙂
What is the difference between the Radioddity QT60 and the QT60Pro? I have just bought a QT60 from the United States Amazon as the QT60 is not available in the dutch amazon store. And yes i had to import one which costed me a lot of money. The mod for 11 meter was snipping a white wire and moving over a jumper. Is the QT60Pro also white wire snipable and moving over a jumper? These Radio manufacturers are releasing lots of radios and bringing more out for people who have the money. TBH I can't keep up no more!
The PRO is an updated radio in a shorter chassis, you can't keep up with the new radios ! 🧐, try my hobby of Reviewing the products, it seems as there is at least one new one a week currently, the hobby must be strong, or manufacturers wouldn't invest their time and money. cheers Dave 🙂
@@m0ogy Same goes for me. I haven't been on there for a while either l. Skip was great until August 2013 then I think that the sun flipped poles and skip basically went away especially for eleven meters plus a lot of other cb'ers around my neck of the woods lost interest about radio communications.
true but i feel like cb/10m radios is a small market now so keep it all compatible with a 4pin mic dont make people spend more for adaptors. the anytone aries 2 does 4 pin with channel buttons so 6 pin is not needed even .
