@@justindyke2170 dont worry i dont take offense, of course ive seen hi, is my fav band... i know he´s comfortable since the last decade, is just that in this performance is like he´s super SUPER comfortable... even a lil bit cocky, like he really knows hes is in one of the best bands in the world and hes like showing off, and i mean... is was great for me to se him at this level o attitude, cheers man!! Viva Radiohead.
Lol. Im fed up with these “he doesnt get enough credit” commenters like they are the only people that get the artists and no one else. All youtube comments is full of them now
@@ImNotJiminy I have read a bunch of reviews of radiohead live performances and few mention how kinetic a front man the guy is. Compare to joy division where literally all reviews mention it.
@@zackzallie8735 changes hair every two seasons, likes screaming but somehow sounds delightful and good while doing so and has excesive energy and does weird dancing when he is the lead character. Yeah, it clicks.
@@ziwuriit's a shark jump moment... Radiohead at the Grammy's is incongruous enough, but backed by a drum line is just utter shit. And I'm a huge Radiohead fan having first seen them live on the My Iron Lung tour and many times since. I can only assume they were contractually obliged to do this.
I watched Radiohead for a pound ($1.60) back in 1992 IIRC for Creep at Warwick University... I remember buying Thom a beer at the bar after the gig and telling him how Radiohead was a stupid name.... The advice story of my life....
Wow, I don't remember seeing this award show.👍🏻 What a great 15 step with all those percussion students! Really fitted well, & they did the shout at 02:38 🙌🏻 Radiohead are definitely 1 of my all time favourites 💜🙂♏🏴💫
It's a shame the sound quality isn't great, the bassiness live must have been quite something. Anyone know of a better version floating about anywhere?
@@Atlas65 yeah it depends how it's done i think. sometimes it can sound awkward but with just the right touch it's groovy. Yes Take 5 is awesome. Also 7 can sound awkward but Pink floyd made Money sound more groovy than anything. Some bands just feel out how to make it work.
@@halfalligator6518 Yes that is true. Often if songs with that meter are made by an overly educated music major, that analyzes way to much it is most likely not going to sound groovy. So it need the right touch, you are right with that. I think that Radiohead have even made 7 sound groovy. Isn't Paranoid Android in 7, f example?
Pure genius!!! We wouldn’t even do music if it wasn’t for the existence of a hand full of bands… but Radiohead are the pinnacle reason we wanted to even try to make music. We love Radiohead and they are a level we will never reach but they make us want to try.
Thom is a snake charmer. He mesmerizes the audience and the drums follow him too. I think Radiohead follows his lead also. They go with it. I wonder if they got the drum theme from Talking Heads Izimbra David Byrnes' drummers marching.
