It really is. Much as I love so many Radiohead tracks and let’s face it the transitions and dynamics are where they excel, that one knocks it out the park.
4:34 I love that man, he’s so shy and never interacts with the crowd or anything but with a guitar in his hand just rocks away even after all these years, he has so much energy when performing
Definition of anything classic:. Something you'll always listen too, regardless of anything else that passes. And secondly, people will imitate your sound.
I’d put them #4 behind Beatles, Stones and Jimi Hendrix Experience. Zep is great but honestly they ripped off a lot of stuff and don’t have the musical diversity of these five guys
They do bully Ed sometimes... They make him play a tambourine or a lemon-shaped shaker on other songs lmao I'm Ed and I'd be like "You know what? Fuck this, fuck you and fuck the tambourine. You play the tambourine and the guitar and the bass and every fucking instrument. I'm outta here"
I've read that for many of their songs played at Loollpallooza. Was Chicago 2016 simply their best live show ever? It's sad Radiohead doesn't have a major live album like Sigur Rós "Inní"
O K I know this album and it's pretty good... but it's only about 35 or 40 minutes. I specified a "major" live album, I meant a full gig, covering their career (to date). Lollapalooza 2016 would be a good choice.
By far and above the greatest band the world has ever seen. Each member has talent pouring out of their backsides, they could literally fart into a microphone for an hour and still have a better album than any current music stars.
What tge FUCK is up with people always mentions shitting and farting in relation to both how good or bad they are. Like I've heard this whole "Radiohead could shit into a microphone and-" spiewel mentioned on like three seperate occassions.
@Marcus (Palebreath) it's not a literal analogy mate. I don't mean that Thom could sit in a room with horrific food poisoning and record it I'm talking about their genius alternative recording methods. Calm down man
@@sij6169 I get that, I just think its weird that somehow it always circles back to a scatalogical analogy. Like, there are different ways to express this idea, but everyone chooses to use shit or farts as a metaphore, and I just think thats weird.
These song lyrics are killing me. My girlfriend broke up with me last week. I was under the impression that we were in Love. Like real love, well for me it was. We had this crazy connection. It was heaven being together. When we first started dating she was coming out of a twelve year marriage. She didn't want to lock herself into dating one person, so we were dating openly for a couple of months until she realized she was monogamous at the core. It felt like I was walking in her landscape, her emotions, and there were broken branches. Her baggage. Our connection was so strong that I thought we really had a shot at being together, happy, for a long time. A week ago she dropped a bomb and told me the relationship wasn't working for her. At first I thought it was because she was going to get back together with her husband. It hurt even more when she said that she wasn't getting back with him, but that our relationship wasn't working out either. I didn't see it coming at all. Apparently, our amazing connection wasn't enough for her. She said that we can find someone else with whom we share a connection and also have more things in common. In her opinion, our personalities weren't compatible, and we didn't have much in common. I felt that everything with her was amazing. The fact that we had nothing in common and still had a connection was even more special to me. I'm really heart broken, If I could be who she wanted....I feel like we were a walking disaster. Such a beautiful star crossed love we had. I felt she loved me, i could feel it, but it doesn't mean its there,,,,,
@@harrybedford8602 well, if there was nothing going on she shouldn't have told me she wanted to marry me and have kids. I've been with several girls since then and haven't had anything like what I had with her. It sucks but I've moved on. Pretty sure I'm not a psycho. I was just used is all.
" In pitch dark I go walking in your landscape Broken branches Trip me as I speak Just 'cause you feel it Doesn't mean it's there Just 'cause you feel it Doesn't mean it's there There's always a siren Singing you to shipwreck (Don't reach out, don't reach out Don't reach out, don't reach out) Steer away from these rocks We'd be a walking disaster (Don't reach out, don't reach out Don't reach out, don't reach out) Just 'cause you feel it Doesn't mean it's there (Someone on your shoulder Someone on your shoulder) Just 'cause you feel it Doesn't mean it's there (Someone on your shoulder Someone on your shoulder) There there Why so green and lonely? And lonely, and lonely? Heaven sent you to me To me, to me? We are accidents waiting Waiting to happen We are accidents waiting Waiting to happen "
amazing performance!! I hope they can keep on playing and performing like this for another 10 years. Thom still has a really good voice and the guys are still at their best!!
@@aub6120 That drummer is Clive Deamer. Thom and the boys sometimes bring him along to tours as a second drummer. Though I can see why you mistook him for Phil... they're both great drummers (And bald!)
Just cause you feel it.... doesn't mean its there ... describing listening to this song Live at a concert (not RU-vid) will give you an outta body experience. nothing comes close to the thrill. deff one of RH's best tracks from all albums
I remember being a young teenager when this video came out, it was way past midnight on a school night and I was thoroughly creeped out and amazed at the same time. My life was changed and I became the coolest guy in school and got laid more often. Thank you Thom.
Saw them in Dallas in like 2007 or 2008 for their In Rainbows tour and it was absolutely magical. They played There There along with so many other classics. Totally worth it.
Radiohead is the most magnificent sensory overload I've ever had in my fucking life. Ever. The fact that they left me space to hit the high harmonies on "to me" and "waiting to happen"?!?!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
