RadioLink D460 Unboxing & Setup
Here is the hand-held backpack for D460, and colorful box is also available for packaging option. Unbox it.
Here is the manual for T8S transmitter.
D460 fuselage. D460 fuselage is available in red and purple. Here is a purple D460.
D460 comes with a T8S transmitter. Users can choose other RadioLink transmitters and receivers to control D460. Optional RadioLink transmitters include T8S, T8FB, T12D, T16D, AT9S Pro, and AT10II.
(Note: Please refer to the sales interface for the actual packing list.)
And a 2S lipo battery.
Here are all the accessories.
A RadioLink charger CM210. You can use CM210 charger to charge the 2S lipo battery.
A Charging&update cable for T8S transmitter.
Two propellers and some rubber bands to fix the propeller.
A fiber tape, a screwdriver and Spare Rudder Angles.
The throttle return hook and spring for T8S.
A vertical tail for D460.
When you receive D460, you need the parts here. D460 fuselage, the vertical tail, T8S transmitter, battery and a propeller and rubber band.
For assembly, you just need to assemble the vertical tail, which is very simple. There are magnets on the fuselage and the tail. Insert the tail and it will be attracted, so the tail is fixed.
Then connect the battery. Here is a magnetic cabin cover. Remove it. Here is the space for the battery. And this is the cover for all the other accessories. You can open it and check the connection.
Power-on and Gyro Self-test
Power on T8S transmitter first. Push the throttle stick of the transmitter to the lowest position and then power on the aircraft. (Note: The binding has already been done by factory default. So you don’t need to bind the transmitter and receiver.)
Keep D460 in a stationary state. The gyro of the flight controller will perform self-test. The self-test is done now.
Move the joystick, the control surface moves, so the connection is successful. Arrange the battery wires and put back the magnetic cabin cover to make it fit.
Motor Safety Lock
The motor can be locked/unlocked by channel 7, the switch here.
Push the switch up, the motor is locked. There is no throttle when you push the throttle stick.
Push the switch down or center, the motor is unlocked. The motor emits two long beeps means the unlocking is successful. There is throttle response when you push the throttle stick.
You must push the throttle joystick to the lowest position when unlocking it, otherwise the unlock will fail.
(Note: When the motor is locked, the gyro of Byme-DB is automatically turned off; When the motor is unlocked, the gyro of Byme-DB is automatically turned on.)
Flight Modes Setup
The right switch here is used to control flight modes. D460 has 3 flight modes.
Push the switch down, it is Stabilize Mode, which is suitable for beginners.
Push the switch in the center, Gyro Mode, the advanced flight mode.
Push it up, Manual Mode, with no gyro involved.
It is recommended to use stabilize mode when you first fly it.
Attitude Calibration
Byme-DB needs to calibrate the attitudes to ensure the balance status. It is recommended to lift the aircraft nose with about 20 degree angle for beginner to ensure smooth flight.
(Note: Attitude calibration has already been done by factory default. So you don’t need to perform it again.)
I remove the cover, and place a box under the nose like this. Then push the left stick (left and down) and the right stick (right and down) like this to calibrate the attitude. The green LED of Byme-DB will flash once, and there will be a slight movement of the servo, indicate that the calibration is complete. and attitude calibration will be recorded by flight controller, once it is complete with success.
Servo Phase
After the attitude calibration is done, test the servo phase.
Push the switch of CH5 to Manual mode. Then check if the the movement direction of the ailerons is consistent with the joystick movement.
When the movement direction of the ailerons is inconsistent with the joystick movement, you can adjust the servo phase by pressing the buttons on the front of the Byme-DB.
After all the test above, you can install the propeller.
We need a propeller and a rubber band to fix the propeller.
The propeller with words should face outwards.
Insert the propeller into the nose. And connect two ends of the rubber band to fix it. Here it is.
Then you can fly D460 outside.
That’s all for the unboxing and setup of D460.
