The mouldings are the same as an old spectrum dx3 R 👍👍

Do you think that's why they can keep the cost of this as low as it is? I'm just amazed at the amount of technology and features they have packed into this transmitter for the cost. It wasn't that long ago that if you wanted even HALF these features you had to pay almost 10 times as much.

I have the RC6GS V2. How do I set up different throttle rates?? Like Arrma Vehicles transmitters. They have 50%,75% and 100%. Lets say the 3 point switches on that transmitter, how do I set middle point to 100% throttle and left and right points to 50% n 75%? Is it possible?

Ok, I've ordered a RadioLink RC6GS V2, now how do I rain proof/water proof this? Thanks.

Do you want to waterproof the receiver that goes in the vehicle, or do you want to waterproof the transmitter?

With this transmitter can I run both of my steering servos?
@RCRacingLegends

Yes, but the functionality will depend on how they're wired to the receiver.

Let me word that better.. well I be able to use my steering wheel to control 2 servos in my Revo 3.3

That's an excellent question. None of my RC vehicles use two servos for steering so I have no first hand experience with this. And I should mention, I'm not overly familiar with the Traxxas Revo 3.3 either. From what I understand the Revo 3.3 uses dual servos to control the front steering, and it's NOT a four-wheel steering system. If I'm wrong on that then please let me know. It's also my understanding that this setup uses a Y-connector harness to connect the two servos into one channel at the receiver. Again, if I'm wrong on this then please do let me know. If this is the case, then I don't see any reason why the RadioLink RC6GSv2 wouldn't allow you to control both servos in your Revo. However, you won't be able to individually adjust either servo (things like trim and end points) from the transmitter itself because the transmitter would be able to identify which servo is which since they're both operating on the same channel. If your dual servo setup is NOT using a Y-connector harness and each servo runs on it's own channel, then the RadioLink RC6GSv2 will accommodate this setup as well. You can connect one of the servos to channel 1 and the second to one of the other available channels. You'd then you'd use the transmitter's mixing functionality and set channel 1 as the "master" and the chosen channel as "slave", then adjust the second servo to suit (ie. to rotate the same amount proportionally as the master but in reverse direction). This sort of setup is meant primarily for a 4-wheel steering setup where one servo steers the front wheels and the other steers the rear wheels, but it could work for this application as well. Now I should mention, the gyro that's built into the R7FG receiver which comes with this radio only functions on channel 1. This is important if you decide to use the gyro function as it will only work if you're setup uses a Y-connector with both servos going to channel 1. If your setup has one servo going to channel 1 and the second servo connected to a different channel then the gyro won't work well in an application like this and you'll simply have to disable it. A bit long winded, but I hope that answers your question.

@@RCRacingLegends thank you for your time brotha but I think I figured it out! Do you still like this Transmitter? I want to pick this one up but I also like the Noble 😁 even tho it has no gyro

No worries my man, always glad to help. Dollars-to-feature set, this transmitter is probably the best bang for the buck on the market right now. If there is any sort of negative to it is that it's ergonomics aren't the best. My hands aren't the biggest, so stretching to reach for a function or the steering wheel while still on the trigger is a bit of a pain. But it's nothing that should be a real deal-breaker. I recently pick up a used Tamiya nitro RC car that came with a 2-channel FlySky FS-GT2B transmitter that has much better ergonomics than the RC6GS, but from a feature standpoint it doesn't come close. If you're looking to compete in any form of track racing, I'd probably look elsewhere. But if you're looking for a non-competition grade transmitter with awesome range that won't break the bank, where you can buy a bunch of compatible RadioLink receivers to put in your various vehicles and bind them up to one controller, this is a solid option.

Yes you can. You can set channel 1 and 2 for steering and channel 3 for throttle. You can set any channel or 2 channels up for steering. You can also use a y splitter off channel 1 to two servos for steering. I have 1 and 2 set for steering a 3 for throttle and 4 for reverse/forward. 5 for killer rc kill switch. And 6 for remote start on my revo 3.3

@@tonialbritton251 Any noticeable difference between TSM and this Gyro? Or you don't utilize the Gyro function with Revo 3.3? I have those TX/RX paired with my on road, I like it alot and considered using it on my Revo 3.3 but initially didnt want to give up the bluetooth/app feature and didnt know if the quality of this Gyro beats out the TSM.

how about the flysky gt5 compared to this?
@RCRacingLegends
@RCRacingLegends 4 года назад
Unfortunately, I don't have a FlySky GT5 which I can use as a comparison. But when I was researching which transmitter to go with, the FlySky GT5 was a top contender and came very highly recommended. From an ergonomics and overall usability point of view, I think the GT5 would be a better option. Additionally, it can store up to 20 models in it's internal memory (twice as many as the RC6GS V2). Plus, it's typically available at a lower price when compared to the RC6GS V2 as well. Honestly, it's a great transmitter and I don't think anyone would go wrong buying one. What sold me on the RadioLink was both it's range and it's extreme tune-ability. I have a couple of very high-speed models which can get a far distance quite quickly and having a 600m range is almost a must for those. Plus, I'm looking to get into 4WD crawling, and the ability to really tune your transmitter is important when tailoring for specific terrain. So even though the RC6GS gives up ergonomics and ease of use/setup, it provides range and functionality you'd normally only see on much more expensive transmitters.
