RadioMaster Tips - Episode 1 - Whats the best reciever for your RadioMaster radio? In this video I take a look at what receivers you can use with your RadioMaster TX16S. Including... RadioMaster FRsky Jumper Flysky Lemon
As standard the 4 in 1 automatically maps spectrum rx's so on the tx16s you use aetr as standard and the 4 in 1 remaps it to spectrum ie channel 1 throttle etc. All this can be remapped by downloading an update with special configurations but as standard it will remap. You can also set up in the radio in opentx under remapping the output and inputs. Always take care and test out without prop. Lots of people caught out by this. Mainly use Frsky rx's as that's what I have used and they have always been reliable.
Thanks for an informative video. I too have been flying Frsky and have a lot of receivers which I use with my TX16S. I don’t like the fine tuning needed with Frsky. I’ve recently bought some Lemon receivers and I’m impressed with the value for money. They are Spektrum compatible.
I've used mainly FR sky X8R And tried a few of the spectrum receivers I was not as happy with the signal strength with the spectrum One that works exceptionally well but are hard to find are the hitec Receivers such as the optimus 7 And nine Use the frequency fine tuning portion on the radio master and you will get incredible signal ! I get 20 to 25 points better on RSSI strength compared to any other receiver Using the Hitec optima !! Have not tried any of my fly sky receivers yet But I plan to do some testing as I have a bunch of those Thanks for the great video
In my case I purchased a batch of six R88 receivers. Every one of them suffers from the so-called "swamping" issue. If you have the TX16S transmitter too close while you are testing the receiver and aligning your control surfaces, after about 10-15 minutes, the connection between the transmitter and the receiver goes bad. The servo responses become erratic with any control input from the transmitter. I will not trust these things in my airplane. Love the transmitter, hate the receivers.
@@heklik hello. 4 in 1 let’s you use lots of different receivers such as Frsky, Flysky, spectrum and Futaba. ELRS only lets you use an ELRS receiver. But ELRS is great for long distances and Radiomaster make some great ELRS receivers.
@@tdogrc I use radiolink tx but wanted to upgrade to tx16s tx because of multi protocol ,I never had a problem with radiolink rx,s and they are cheap also
