This man defy age. At 35 years of age & outlast a much younger opponent for over 5 hrs & clinched the title. Even Mevedev was in awe & ask him " don't you get tired".
The funny thing is it was pretty obvious Rafa was exhausted too. But he's experienced enough and tough enough to know that being exhausted is just a feeling and he can push through it.
Medvedev? The former President of Russia? Huh? The guy who's threatening to nuke the U.S.? Whoa!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--1EBYE4QDvA.html
5:05 beautiful hands! 🙌 seem more like the hands of a truly creative person - like a painter 🎨 or a musician... but then again, Rafa is a true artist on the 🎾 tennis court
What is important is he takes efforts for achieving his goals irrespective of the result. He is a dedicated guy even at this age like the other Big 2. Mind you, Medvedev is a decade younger and can play long.. Rafa could also do it when he was younger as he showed in 2009 AO. People like Rafa for a reason and that wont go even if Med wins.
I love these behind the scenes moments before matches at the grand slam level....so cool to see Rafa going thru the motions before big matches before he made history with 21 Grand Slam titles 💪 👏 🏆 🏆 👏 💪
How is the greatest? Without Novak? Sorry but this is like Fed winning the Rolland Garros without Nadal playing. Actually less since there are no Wawrinkas or Murrays or Feds. Medvedev, Tsitsipas and Zverev are good but lack experience. Djok did not play the US final since he managed badly the mistake of taking the favourite role. Nadal shook it off with the covid and the health problems and the bad AO record so shook the pressure off. Nadal is still my favourite personality among the current big3 together with Djokovic. And Sampras of prior era.
@@innosanto who said Novak not to participate in AO. His proud and foolish Ness cursed him. As per country's laws we lead the life. Without djoker also AO CONDUCTED successfully.
@@innosanto HE WOULD HAVE THOROUGHLY BEATEN DHOJKO IN 3 SETS… .. THIS IS THE NEW NADAL WHOM DHOJKO HAS NOT NET/ PLAYED YET.. WITHOUT A DOUBT.. NO? Smile.
Best body in tennis! What nice hands he has, too. Rafa and Borg are my all time favorite male players. Congrats, Rafa. You are a true and worthy champion! 🏆
What a legend. Amazing that in the final he came out nervous and sweating and 2 hrs 45 mins in, when all looked lost, he started the long road back to an incredible, history-making victory. And he needed every ounce of his training, guile and fitness to do so.
I think Rafa will be a slow starter in the final. An old engine takes a while to get up to full speed. It wouldn’t surprise me if he went a set or two down before finding full throttle. Rafa in five for me and the 21 times GS Champion. It’s history people.
Vamos, Rafa! Go for GS#21, you are our champion ON and OFF the Court!. Show them what you've got, your deep reserves and reservoir - being able to adapt easily to the game of your opponents and end up a tactician in the process, dismantling and deconstructing them in the end.
Nadal ha perdido su cabello pero ese nalgon sigue ahí. Es un maravilla. Buenas suerte rey! Tiempo para logras historia y ascender como el mejor de la historia.
Love you man you showed the world age is just numbers, work hard and sacrifice, no matters what happened in the end and who get mo gs ,for me you are the best,go manorca and rest fully and do mercy on fishes.
Прикольно готовят руку, как бойцу тейпируют кулаки для боя, хотя почему как ... Рафа и так воин, боец до мозга костей, что вновь доказал и сломал Даньку с 0-2 по сетам. Крут! 💪
He doesn't necessarily look it, but he must be incredibly strong to be able to SWIPE at the ball with that top spin and get the pace that he does on that forehand. What's just as amazing is how with so much topspin his timing is incredible. Rarely mishits!
If this is on the day of the final and that clock is correct, why is he warming up 4 hrs before the match starts? Fascinating. BTW, congratulations Rafa!!! Vamos!!!
That's usually the routine for all the players. He is probably warming up to go a hit some ball on a training court for 45min or 1h. After that they have some food, some rest or relaxing activities (Nadal usually plays parchis) and finallly he'll go back to the gym to warm up before the match.
@@eabella70 That's interesting to know.. didn't realize so much prep goes into a match! I thought they would take it easy (i.e. rest and recovery) on match day! By the way, the videos on the playlist on my channel might interest some people!
It surprises me that when Rafa leaves the gym, he doesn't make sure to step onto the edge of the carpet or the edge of the floor covering. Rafa we love you. You my hero!
Rafa’s body is a work of art. That’s why he can endure 5 hour matches. No one has more stamina than Nadal. Sometimes I miss the point from staring at his sexy thighs. Then I have to rewind. Rafa brought sexy back to tennis. Vamos Rafa!!!!
I always defended Rafa when he refused to represent esp last year to look after himself, the man needs grand slams to become the goat not national gold medals, he's already the greatest Spain has to offer in terms of tennis
It is hard to be the goat of current era ( there is no goat of all eras) since will require to beat Djokovic in US Open and AO Open similar to Djok almost beating Nadal in 2013 and hard in 2011 and then beating in 2 other years. So if he beat Djok this year in AO final he will upd make a step. Otherwise it is hard to do so. However is my favourite personality of current era and big3 together with Djokovic. Because Fed is very much talent and the greatest tennistically with amazing shots but I like blood and dirt and tears and pain.
@@innosanto Spare us from that bullshit as Nadal is already the GOAR by defying age and specially multiple career ending injuries to win 21 Grand Slams aka the record for most Grand Slams wins ever with the best win ratio overall and in finals at Majors and while having better Head to Head records against his main rivals in Federer, Djokovic, Murray & Wawrinka and even more against the Next Gen top players from Zverev & Tsitsipas to Medvedev who by the way owned Djoker at the 2021 US Open final in 3 straight easy sets just 5 months ago yet Nadal defeated him at the AO 2022 final aka a Major final again coming from 2 sets down while being injured and 10 years older than Medvedev and that's Tennis Greatness in itself which makes him by far the GOAT as of now.
I am from Barbados 🇧🇧 in the West Indies. I've been watching Rafa for many years and I love him very much. He's the consummate professional and a true gentleman. I pray that he continues to be his best self and gives us many more thrilling moments in his career. Vamos Rafa, God bless you and yours.
Rafa, has stilled played 3 less grand slams than Djokovic due to more injuries in his career. So he got 21 in 3 less slam's time as it took Djokovic to get 20.
Thank you for uploading, but I just feel so weird watching this haha. I guess it really isn't any worse than watching him practice on a court. Though the way the camera follows him gives some horror-movie vibes, maybe I'm just not used to the future
