The US Open is the final Grand Slam of the year and takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The 2021 US Open saw Russia's Daniil Medvedev and Great Britain's Emma Raducanu claim the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first major title, with 18-year-old Raducanu becoming the first-ever qualifier to achieve the feat. The 2022 US Open is scheduled to go ahead between August 23 - September 11.

At 27:54, although he suffered an initial awkward fall, he showed impressive resilience and quickly recovered. Facing a triple break point, he delivered a powerful first serve and followed up with a forehand winner at a critical moment. He then hit his first ace of the match to level the score to deuce. In the next game, he managed to break Novak and ultimately won the 3rd set. Such a remarkable display of skill and determination is reminiscent of Houdini's escapism and truly reflects champion mentality. That's RAFA for you ✌

.djokovic has more forehand power today than he did 10 years ago. Nadal won here by taking djokovic's pace with slice and of course by positioning himself on the baseline deciding to attack first. and detail djokovic usually starts his first set as a counterpunch waiting for his opponent to miss. That's how Nadal obliterated Djokovic in that game with just 27 unforced errors, which is a very low number for someone who plays aggressively.

@rafaeldeleo92
@rafaeldeleo92 Год назад
@@patcisz3474 I think that djokovic 2011 was not his best version and I'll explain why: This djokovic lost to federer at roland garros because he decided he was going to attack federer from the right (on his forehand) instead of attacking federer from the backhand. and he made that decision because federer's backhand was very stable. and that djokovic was unable to beat Federer as an aggressive baseline player against Federer. In my humble opinion, the 2020-2023 djokovic is better than the 2011 one precisely because he is able to attack anyone on the right with a much more reliable and solid forehand.

After this match nadal never won any matches against Novak in hard or grass court. Never won against Novak in hard court in last 10 years In grass last 15 years. After 2016 he started ignoring Novak in hard or grass court tournament's. Clay has 4 big tournament a year and nadal played 7 matches against Novak in clay in last 7 years While Hard has 9 title More than 2× than clay still Nadal only played 2 matches against Novak in last 7 years.

its august 2024...Federer retired, Murray just retired. Nadal hinting at it. So technically Nadal and Novak still playing. These rallys are insanely long! over and over point after point. They have def shortened points nowdays. These two players here on the video would eviscerate all the players on the tour right now. Maybe alcaraz and sinner could give them a hard time. But this Novak and Nadal would win.

That's why I always said that Wawrinka took 5 Grand Slams away from Djokovic ... Outside Stan's wins at AO2014, RG 2015, USO 2016 or USO 2019. He also took this USO 2013 from him because he was exhausted and clearly diminished. I guess Nole was usually unlucky at USO.

Are there any competent people that can explain to me what happened to him after 2013 as to why he wasn’t able to beat Novak on hardcourt Even talking to me about the anatomy of the injuries and physiology I know there was a serious injury that happened in 2014 but what was it? Like it just doesn’t make sense how their became consecutive inconsistent play towards Novak on hardcourt and not even being able to win a match since 2013?
@jbm8167
@jbm8167 Месяц назад
It’s timing mainly. Most hard court after 2013 were 2015-16 when Nadal was in a major career slump losing to Fognini, Verdasco, Raonic etc on hard court and reaching no slam SFs. It wasn’t a Djoker problem, it was a tour problem. Then Nadal got back into form in 2017… but since then he played Djoker only 2x on hard courts, both in Australia where Djoker is king (and Djoker played out of his mind at AO 2019 like Nadal did at RG 2020). The courts there are fast and lower bouncing compared to the US courts. In that same period since Nadal got out of his slump, he played Djoker on grass and it was a 5 set classic which is considered one of the best grass matches of all time. This despite being indoors where Djoker is much better than Nadal. So Nadal could still clearly play well vs Djoker off clay… they just didn’t play much at all

Nadal hasn't lost a GS match in 22. I'd kil to be like that out of my prime tbh. Of course he was flying in 13, but is now an all rounder, way better at reading the game. Just slower due to age and not as fit.
@Blue-ik8ij
@Blue-ik8ij 2 года назад
@@NLLeFa That's because this is vintage Rafa. He always had incredible skills in shot making like Federer but maybe not the flamboyance. Now he fires winners whenever he can and he arguably has the best volleys(right up there with Fed imo but ppl may disagree). His game doesn't really have any weakness at this point(except serve maybe and that's understandable with his age and shoulder, abdominal injuries)
