McGrath slowed it down right at the start. Being professional Wilk kept the slower tempo until the end. Speeding up is the number one mistake for beginner level drummers
@@SlavomirG it continuously slows down. Being the number one sign of an unprofessional. He sucks. Probably spends too much time soloing and not enough time playing music.
@@bugsycline3798 you, know I've thought about this a lot with Rage. since the beginning, they've always been so choppy with tempo. at first I thought it was sloppy, but I actually think it's intentional. I'm a musician (drummer) and have been to two Rage shows in my life. When I watch videos of them live I notice the timing fluctuations, but when it was live I had no idea. EVERYONE was completely lost in the momentum and energy of those shows... I think the timing fluctuations is actually them feeling the moment and going with the energy, they're consciously letting themselves do it. They may have made a conscious choice to go with vibe over musicianship, and you know what? they could do whatever they wanted because they were Rage Against The Machine. Also, consider the fact that every song they recorded in the studio was done without a click-track, except for Renegades of Funk. I think that alone proves they can keep time when they really want to.
