curious if you got the new 2019 model. im planning to get it once Circuit breaker is over.

Hi, it's been about 2 years. How was it? Did you use it for delivery work? Was it good?

Really good and comfortable ride. Even though my height is 158 I can still manage to ride it. Haven't do any deliveries with it but my friends give good review on it as he using it for food delivery.

It was a DIY bracket which was quite flimsy. I have since changed to mounting it on the bar clamps. maybe you can try fabricating a bar to mount on the windshield mounting points.

Alvin Chan it is not just the machine price that you have to consider. Bmw bikes are exclusive and to maintain warranty you have to service at their authorised dealer which would cost by the hour. Parts could be more expensive than the 400x as per demand and supply. General maintenance would be roughly the same but remember they might only allow you to change oil at their service center and you’ll have to pay them an hour of their time.

Both bikes are fun but the 09 is more torquey and of course drinks more. MT07 has a twin cylindeer configuration compared to a triple for the 09 so it rides differently in terms of power delivery. If you are tight on budget, MT07 is still a good choice. The MT09 has known suspension issues before they made a v2 so if youre getting a MT09 v1, make sure they changed the suspension.

MT09 & MT07 fuel tank capacity is same 14L

Marcus Low blame it on my lack of research before using it as a comparison haha. But I still hold my opinion that the 400x has more utility as it was designed to be able to carry lots of luggage on its rack. Doubt the R3 would be fitted with three boxes. End of the day, it comes down to personal preference of utility to style. Thanks for the correction, made me more interested to find out more on the R3

@@dethsteptrr5662 The naked MT03 (same engine as r3, even cheaper) might spike your interest even more. no doubt 400x has more utility, but all are still good bikes! Super4 is overrated.

Marcus Low I never really liked the naked type of bikes. Though it is more commuter friendly and a more popular category, I never found it appealing with an exception for the mt10

@@dethsteptrr5662 hmm btw bro have to disagree with your r3/mt-03 impression. The reason why people get r3/mt-03 is due to its low-mid range power. The engine is pretty torquey in the mid range as compared to cb400x which is constant throughout. In a way it's like a fun bike ah compared to cb400x. But ofc the 400cc engine in cb400x will win r3 in terms of top speed ah. Apart from all this, mainteance wise and fc is about the same. Last point is that r3 is definitely cheaper than cb400x by alot. If I rmb correctly cb400x retails at 18k while r3/mt03 is at 13-14k. Hahaha and lastly the bmw 310gs is definitely not worth it, underpowered for the premium u are pay. To me if describe this 3 bikes would be: r3- fun factor Cb400x - economical/reliable 310gs- rich people

rockyrbdy it’s just a brake master pump nothing interesting to show haha. Perhaps you can see it in future videos. I can’t find brembo calipers for the 400x

Ignatius Chng both are very similar in terms of maintenance cost. I’d say try sitting on the bikes or better if you can test ride them because when I sat on the cbr, it felt different from the r15v2. The cbr felt sportier and more comfortable than the r15. I haven’t sat on the new v3 so can’t comment on that, but the v3 has better engine technology than the v2 so its faster. At this engine capacity though, you won’t feel a whole world of difference in power so I think comfort comes first.

How about when it comes to maintenance and fuel etc? Which is more efficient ?

Ignatius Chng it is the same for both. Fun fact I learnt from my fellow motovloggers, cbr150 no oil filter xD they do have an oil strainer to catch the particles on the oil which requires cleaning when you change oil so you save some money there, but oil filters are just $10 thereabouts. Both use same amount of oil and spark plugs. Essentially both are similar in maintenance cost so you don’t have to compare it for these two bikes. Fuel efficiency should also be identical. You just need to consider the appearance and feel of the bike when deciding between the two. In my opinion the cbr would be a more fun bike with better ergonomics. The R15 does not bring a punch in the power delivery but I’ve heard good things about the CBR which I’ve never tested personally.

Ignatius Chng I never serviced Nor purchased a bike from the west so I can’t help you with that. If you’re looking for a reliable workshop for your bike, join a bike group related to your bike model and ask around I’m sure everyone will be helpful

Connorfied WHUT yeah it does but I prefer having proper mirrors on touring or commuting bikes for safety reasons. Not many aftermarket mirrors suit the styling so I wouldn’t change sturdy huge mirrors unless there’s a better option

DRZ definitely a more fun bike but for daily use, CB400x wins in comfort, fuel economy and top speed. Don't expect to be doing any wheelies on a CB400x

Yes more torque as it is a single and the styling of the bike is more hooligan
