Cool, very good. Heard about them, but not listen to them. But this was very good, so I will look into them more. :D I think you are correct, Brad. There is an element of techno in some parts. Interesting that Alena starts to perfer faster parts and growling. :D
Thanx, guys, I was around this band for the last months, heard a couple of their songs, sounds quite unique and worth investigating further. BTW, the female vocalist (Melissa ) does screams/growls, in other songs it's more obvious, I remember their great cover of Amon Amarth - ''Twilight of the thunder god''. About the lyrics, I remember one of my collegues (a software programmer) was saying that such idea (machines taking over Earth) can come to mind of technophobs, anybody who deals with computers don't take it seriously. There is no machines, only people, regardless of technology. And for ma as an electronic guy, it's allways funny how they use an outdated 20 years ago electronic boards/devices to present us a sophisticated robots!
Eh I have to disagree there Artificial Inteligence (AI) could very well be a real threat. And people like Steven Hawking, Bill Gates and Elon Musk also deemed it a threat so yeah there are some smart people how take this very seriously.
It's an interesting discussion. Certainly not something I'm qualified to have a strong opinion on but I do enjoy listening to the super-brains discussing it.

Here is a live version of this song, but the sound quality is really poor: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ImtaNvv4nPU.html They started as a studio project, but at one point they decided to go live and they have a permanent drummer now.
Yeah who was that guy doing growlings, is he a member of the band? I have watched about 5 Rage of Light songs before, but the only one singing was Melissa. And yeah she does growl. Quite good enough that a band of hers don't need another growler, unless if it is completely different, I think. My fav song from RoL so far is "Battlefront" where the cello brings melancholic Game of Thrones title song vibes to it. Nothing special in a female metal singer who in addition to clean vocals also growls, but yeah definately I like better when she can do both_ not a big fan of only growling. Melissa seems to be everywhere, I think she is quite popular. Not quite sure which subgenre this song would be, I'm not a musician, just a casual listener. The drumming was very fast so it felt to me like power metal, the lyrics I didn't quite hear, but OK, got it from you now.
