id say its pretty much on par with labrynth. very good, but not nearly as good as the best combo decks. i enjoyed playing go first sky striker with kaiser kolisseum lately ✌️
Nope, not at all, Sky Striker is nutty now. I climb all the way to diamond 1 with utter ease in the course of like 3 days! First time reaching D1 too, it was fun also! :D
When this came out it didn’t change a whole lot in the TCG meta. I would be surprised if it has a huge impact in MD. Sky Striker stays extremely easy to counter
@@xheroexskiller nah I mean even before those came out. Before Sprights or even the first drop of Tearlaments. However in the TCG I mostly play a go second OTK deck so maybe that’s why Sky Striker has never given me problems.
You should be chaining linkage to some of the cards you use to break boards mindcontrol cl1 cl2 linkage Or heatwave cl1 cl2 linkage if you gotta go first

I think the biggest issue with yugioh in general is that they keep inventing even more broken cards to try and check other broken cards, instead of just keeping it simple. They make rules, break those rules, invent something to balance what's broken, then break that too, and repeat. I remember having 2000 life points and banishing cards didn't exist. We've literally quadrupled the life points to try and keep the game going and you still get defeated in one turn. I absolutely love yugioh and can't stand it once I start playing. It's darn near impossible to have fun without dueling a friend group every time. And I feel like the master duel ranking system is complete crap personally. 3 times I've gone from "one more win and rank up to gold 3" to demoted to gold 5.
True... I have wished that they'll increase the starting LP to a significant amount... I think they should since they always make new rules that break the game.
The sad part is, Sky Striker is almost what I asked for (recently). It is a deck that just wants to play its own game, it doesn't summon out big negaters like so many other decks. ... but MAN is it stupid too. It is a toolbox deck that has no limits. Yea, it is cool that it can popoff and give the player fun, but it is super unfun to be on the otherside as they just spam cards. There is no winning in YGO design anymore. (And this is the one archetype that doesn't say once per turn on most card lol) edit: even if I want to say the extra deck is the problem, it isn't. Decks like Labirynth, Eldiich are also beyond annoying. It is just a bad game living on name alone.
@Anonymous Cheese 100 agree. It is crazy how many small archetypes are actually completely playable, maybe too strong even. But they don't get to play because the stronger decks are just 100x more. I agree on the negation meta, it is the worst. But this video shows even without negation, the game is just stupid.
Finally Sky Strikers getting decent cards that accomplish something other than being a nuisance. Still no in arche boss monster, still no win condition aside from being annoying, but hey this is a start.
30 URs in his deck. I’m aware that he has a good amount of staples and most people should invest in them, but this is why casual players have so much incentive to invest in top tier cards. They will make tier 1-3 decks so they can win without spending massive amounts of money.
Tier 0 is cap. Tier 1 is top tier in master duel, even tier 2 are topdecks. Sky Striker with this build is really expensive as Sam is playing lots of staples and handtraps, but you could build it cheaper obviously.
In honest truth if they don't have widow anchor the linkage would't be a threat at all. Anything that steals your monster is annoying but it's more annoying when they can steal it at anytime and negate the effect of it. The best they can do with mind control is use it as lnk material. Yet it's harder to go against 3 widow anchor then 0 or 1. That plus linkage makes it hard to deal with.
Bro, why do you put Selene in if you cant even use her effect. She need to special summon a spellcaster type monster in defense and the only spellcaster type in your deck is Dharc and she cant go to defense so is not even work, or i miss something here.
instead of moon mirror shield ive been using Avramax + Number 2 Mosquito Ninja to make opponents monsters crash into avramax and protect my weaker monsters from battle

you say linkage is broken i don't see how it allows striker a deck that struggles to win quick to win quick. how many decks out there are running easy access accesscode talker to win.
The saddest part of this game tbh players toxicity, even though the opponent have no cards on the field with low lp and their card can one hit the opponent they still keep fusion summon etc It's like tea bagging your opponent which is considered as toxicity.. i think duel master should take action with that kind of behavior
hopefully in the next future updates there will be a feature that you can only use cards that were only released that year. for example you can only use cards that are released on the very 1st released cards (1999?) up to 2016
Bruh does this dude set up the duels he shows? I made a new account and went from rookie 2 to d5 to play strikers and was only left with an empty board once. The otk is incredibly unrealistic and pretty rare Should have shown us how linkage can stop interruptions v a real board but i suppose that would actually take effort on his part when he can just duel some buddies instead

Disagree, Sky Strikers is the worst meta in the game. I mean with no alterations, you could add cards to make it good, but on it's own absolute trash. Lol I like the card art... and the first time playing this set, so painfully...ugh bad. The only times I win, is if the just quit for no reason.

Sorry, but sky stricker is too predictable and it still has no win condition with a powerfull 3000 + bossmonster with direct attack. Mathmech can be played so differently in addition to their standard combo. Someone clapped my runick deck with mathmech, even though I killed his entire deck and summoned th 2350 atk fusion monster, that restricts special summon. He than droplet me, activated black garden, summoned alpha the MoB and nabla, finishing me with final sigma.
That’s kinda the point of all the spells is to boost kagari to turn her into a boss monster but I can 100% see your point, but will all try hand traps and board clears it’s a fairly good deck as long as your opponent isn’t running a deck that basically can’t be destroyed no matter what you do like Z-ARC
I like the video and the linkage spotlight but I'm downvoting this because I felt clickbaited. On set, you said that this new card can be an "FTK" or First turn kill and yet on the 3 or 4 duels, you never did. I agree that this card can be a good OTK or one turn kill because it's not a once per turn card. However, I felt like I was hyped because an FTK is not so common compared to an OTK. FTK, for those not familiar means you can kill your opponent on first turn. This is when you only have 5 cards on hand, cannot attack because you're first turn, but can kill an opponent via effect damage or something. Some FTK examples are Exodia and burn decks like the banned Psychic Mastermind burn (or I forgot the name but it has mind on it.). Any case. Just a bit salty. I love your vids, especially the duel nights but I think I have to pass a downvote for this one because of the reasons above.
If you can make a proper FTK video on this, I will go back and take down that downvote. You don't have to but only if you want. You know, as a challenge.
