Need the basic non-ex Sandy Shocks or something similar otherwise you brick to the Mimikyu if you can't get the Cornerstone powered up

I was in this situation. Played Vs a deck with Mimikyu & has to scoop. Decided to add 2 canceling Cologne & that has solved all my issues. Added 2 incase one gets prized. Counter catcher & Boss orders are also obvious cards to use if a mimikyu is active.

Preferably 2nd for that first attack. I’ve seen some builds run Bug Catching Set and others that don’t. I actually bought a play set of them for my paper deck, but I haven’t used them in either because I haven’t felt like the deck needs it. ah yeah broken deck, as in it needs minimal brain input for it to work, leaves litle to no room for outplays, you either get stomped or you dont

Lady is actually a bad supporter for Raging Bolt Ogerpon and no tournament builds on record in Limitless tournaments use it: play.limitlesstcg.com/decks/raging-bolt-ogerpon?format=standard&rotation=2023&set=TWM The problem with Lady is that by burning your supporter to grab energy from the deck, you lose out on the extra energy acceleration that Sada’s Vitality gives you. Being able to attach extra energy to Raging Bolt so that it can attack is essential for the deck to function. For the purposes of grabbing energy from the deck, competitive players use Earthen Vessel because it gets you enough energy while still having access to a supporter card.

I wonder why these decks always run some bravery charms? I can't tell if it's to shore up certain mons in the deck from getting KO'd, or help get an extra turn of attacks with Raging Bolt or something.

Bravery Charm helps in the event you need extra HP on Ogerpon or your other Pokemon. Losing 10 HP on Raging Bolt by using Charm over Ancient Booster is negligible because nothing in the game really hits for 290 anyway.

Very aggressive and consistent. However, its offence is also very linear and it has some really bad matchups, such as Gardevoir.

The deck is annoying. Dragapult hard loses to it. I have had some success with Miriadon EX but can't find anything else to keep up with Rage/Oger speed

Based on my experience and Limitless data, Gardevoir beats Raging Bolt pretty handily: play.limitlesstcg.com/decks/raging-bolt-ogerpon/matchups/?format=standard&rotation=2023&set=TWM Drifloon constantly uptrades into Bolt and Ogerpon while also being able to stall for time with Mimikyu. Limitless matchup data also suggests Raging Bolt has a tough time against Lost Box variants and Snorlax Stall.

@@InThirdPersonI played Gardy last night and you're very right about it being a favorable matchup. Drifloon is huge. I also think froslass/ greninja will do great into this deck. But I have to wait for maintainence to end to try it out. Lugia is also a favorable matchup into Bolt.

@@Mikey-vx6roTo beat Bolt you have to figure out how to take a 2 prizer ohko with a 1 prizer. And then you use Pault to take a 4 prize turn somewhere. Lost box variants will do it by taking the ohko with radiant zard or blood moon. And the 4 prize turn can be made easier with sableye or cramorant. Hope the advice can help. I don't like matching up into bolt either. Which sucks because its one of the most accessible decks.

The best card to your deck you just skipp? i just matched another guy with ogerpon with gardênia vigor and yep him just won becoz only by this detail. Tested this deck, spent some crystals into it. This deck bricked out of playings, 5/10 times. are u sure you is helping people here?

There are no shortage of Raging Bolt Ogerpon builds out there as a reference. I always recommend players cite multiple lists and then tweak based on their personal taste. It’s cool if you like Gardenia’s Vigor. However, you’re advocating for a card that literally sees 0 competitive play in the deck. play.limitlesstcg.com/decks/raging-bolt-ogerpon?format=standard&rotation=2023&set=TWM Literally none of of the builds from online tournaments use it limitlesstcg.com/cards/ASR/143/decklists for in-person play, 0 Raging Bolt builds use Gardenia. And as a whole, it literally has only been used in 5 decks across every major in-person tournament around the world since it was released in 2022. There are reasons why no one in the competitive scene is using it. But if you truly think you have the secret sauce though, don’t let me stop you 👨‍🍳
