True. Kangaroo can jump like 5 metres forward or more at once, so if Roger really treat him as enemy to fight, literally he has no way to hide. The way Roger hopping along is more like being playful towards him

When Roger got old and his son Monty replaced him, Roger was kind to his keeper and didn’t threaten him anymore. In fact his keeper could pet him and they could sit together. It was just Roger fulfilling his kangaroo duty to keep his family safe.

Please remember that Roger weighs in at over 200 pounds (roughly 90 kilos) and most of that is muscle. Besides he has very sharp claws at the ends of his feet and hands.

I actually think Roger is just playing, and using his 'father' as a way to exercise and expend some energy. However, 'playing' the way a kangaroo wants to play is probably going to end in some pretty serious bodily harm LOL! Not necessarily intentional, but inevitable LOL!

Raising wolves can be very similar. Its common behavior for them to "challenge" the one they see as the alpha male in order to be pack leader. Sometimes it is playing, sometimes it is challenging. You have to figure out the difference quickly or you may be killed accidentally. If roger wanted him dead, he could have pounced on him through the brush like a jurassic park raptor. He is probably very territorial and just wanted his former "parent" out of his territory like a teenager telling their parents to get out of their room.

Why does this have an American voice over!?! The original BBC program was narrated by Juliet Stevenson, and done so beautifully. It’s just not the same without her. No offence to the American narrator (I can’t find who it is on Google, all references are made to Juliet Stevenson), but I’m curious to know why an American narrator was overlaid. She is perfectly understandable, and utterly charming. As my husband said, ‘ it’s just not the same.’

Um... Roger is an animal. He does not reason or think logically like a human being. He reacts solely based upon his animal instincts and desire to be alpha. You can't blame an animal for behaving like an animal.
