Raidercast Collab #1: Core Design AOD Interview 

Huge smile on my face the whole time. It's truly heartwarming to see that they're "coming to terms" with AOD, and happy about what they've done, after so many years not wanting to even hear about it. They made a hell lot of work for this game, and despite how the final product turned out, them being able to see the recognition they get for their work is... again, heartwarming. Thank you for this.

The first video game I ever finished, 17 years ago. I saw no flaws, only a great opportunity to play my favorite game again, and it was amazing . The community is proof that Core Design's work is gold, even after all these years.

Kurtis Trent is a better and more unique secondary character than many main characters in other games

I always wondered about the germany and cappadocia levels. It was so nice to get some insight on them. Feels like getting some closure. Thank you so much Meagan, Neha, Chris and everyone who made AOD month so memorable. Thank you for putting so much effort into digging things up.

Incredible interview! It's so amazing to hear all the developers and their processes into making this game! It's a shame it was unfinished but the innovation and the amount of material for the game clearly has a long legacy! :D

Thank you very much, I'm French and can't really get in touch with the Developers. I'm not very good in English, but I understand. It's great interviews like this. I really like 3D graphics since discovering the level editor sold with Tomb Raider 5 in the footsteps of Lara croft. I'm a huge fan of Tomb Raider and I use Maya and 3dsMax 3D software. it would be so cool to have so many things missing like tomb raider 6's level editor as you can see WorldEdit, but also the real RoomEdit TR1 and TR2 and TR3 room editor with AnimEdit. These are good software even if obsolete. It's so nice everything that has been released already in the year 2021; the developer files, even if we don't have everything. Like missing FMV TR5 in 3D model and also some TR4 etc... I find that these developers have a lot to teach us, I find that the work that has been done is great. Congratulations to them. I can't do without Tomb Raider. Thank you so much. Nicolas of France.

Can’t help but shed a few tears at the end of this. AoD was the first TR game I beat by myself, I’ll never forget watching the credits roll and listen to that astonishingly beautiful theme. This game means so much to me and it was incredible to listen to everyone talk about the game and to know the community has helped heal their relationship with the franchise and the game is truly everything. I can’t image how frustrated and upset they must have felt with how everything ended up, it wasn’t fair at all. But I’m so glad we can look back and focus on the good and appreciate what we have, and what we have is one beautiful fucking game.

That's a great thing that Core design was using the same model from Tomb Raider the prophecy. And were they going to develop this story to follow the plot of the prophecy?

I think AOD is still the best game. All levels look like a big puzzles. You need always think, unravel, solve, decipher, run, jump, climb. In last several other series of this game there are too much shootings for me. I also like that they created Kurtis and he looks like a strong character, a big part of the story, maybe even like love interest, good partner for Lara with his own storyline. It's one of the best ideas to add the male character to this game. It made the story more complicated and interesting. So great to see and listen these people who created this wonderful game. I spent many years playing this game, trying to solve the puzzles. And i always thought how smart and wise are those people who made these levels with not so easy puzzles, complicated story and beautiful graphics. So great to see that they also still remember so much details and share them with fans.

My only wee little insignificant complaint was the physics of controlling Lara and the view. If possible, I think it would be absolutely grand to see Last Revelation (my absolute fave) and Chronicles, which I also really, really liked, could get a remaster? And a request if possible? An additional 'gold' expansion that tells the story of how Lara survived Egypt and what caused Von Croy to leave her thete. Then, how could AOD be remastered? I just hope any remaster projects bring these blokes great success. The art and music are betond brilliant!

That's cool that they were deciding if they want let Lara dying into that tomb in TR4, or should she survive out of the tomb so they'll make Tomb Raider 5?😎

Hopefully they put the team back together , and REmaster or remake it as it should have been … I wanted to like it , I loved the story … especially after 3,4, and 5 since personally it was getting better and better …. I never touched another Tomb Raider since , I was heartbroken TaoD failed …. I’d buy it in a heartbeat if would be remade tomorrow with all the cut content

Hello all,Tomb raider games are very popular in Turkey, famous youtubers shoot and praise the series videos of tomb raider, there are many fans of lara croft in Turkey, unfortunately our English is insufficient, we have difficulty playing and we can't understand some parts, especially the reboot trilogy series should definitely be added with Turkish subtitle,ı m wait next reboot game

With the remake doing so well, can we hope for a remake or remaster of TRAOD?

Lord Wellington 🧐here. I liked " Angel of Darkness. " I played it when it first came out. Never finished it though. I needed like a " Tomb Raider " card to do all the saves in the game. And I think it got full so I was never able to complete the game. I know I got through the sewers. France itself is one of the Best parts that I got to. Where " Lara " just runs past the garages and the park. It had a nice look to it. Not to far past " Classic Tomb Raider " and Not too Real. Still in the " Virtual " realm.

Did they approach what she didn't have the dual pistols?
