kronk is a very kind & skilled player 1. Turns Midgardsormr so he won't hit the party. 2. Lets you have all the loot. 3. Sometimes there's a mechanic where you're pulled towards a healer; Kronk knows when and makes sure to use Arm's Length. 4. Knows how to execute Spin Strat, proving he has mastered A Realm Reborn. 5. Will pull the lever (no guarantee on which one).
not his meme, rin karigami is the dude that came up with this, he has his own channel for raiding and doing tank only runs of ultimates and ex/savage content
I was part of this, and the person who brought up all tanks in the chat because Ferro offhandedly mentioned it being like a extreme difficulty protect the president
As a former scholar main, take it from me: - Once you fully understand it's kit, it's AMAZING in Trials and Raids, but feels HORRIBLE in Dungeon Pulls. It actually specializes in AoE Burst Heals, and suffers in single target heals. I think you see the problem. No Benediction, no Essential Dignity, Excog is nice but still a weaker use of recitation than Adlo, Lustrate is just objectively worse than the next closest comparable skill (Afflatus,) your AoE regen is crap and has something low like 25% uptime at best, and your ST Regen (The Fairy) jumps targets at will and can't be focused on the tank when you need it to be. It's adequate if your party has decent logical reasoning (read: not playing intentionally badly just to meme at you to adjust) but it feels BAD in dungeon pulls compared to the other two. - Most of the advice out there is from raiders who levelled as Summoner and moved to SCH at endgame to get spots in raid groups. This means they rely on the more experienced healers to do more of the healing and therefore get lazy. No, the fairy doesn't "do half the work," and a Scholar who isn't being hard carried won't even see Embrace reach 5% of their total healing output. The fairy is actually *disgustingly underpowered,* once you pass level 60-ish but all the people out there insisting it's stronger than it really is make it easy to feel gaslit, like YOU'RE the one doing something wrong. You're not. - I also just want to point out, Blackest Night. Those barriers couldn't have been entirely by the Scholar. It physically just does NOT have that kind of power! Here's the TLDR Summary of what you need to know to reach baseline efficiency for Trial Roulette: - Sacred Soil is ALWAYS the best use of an Aetherflow charge. The 10% DR will always be more than the 400 potency from Lustrate or the 800 Potency from Excog. Use it, abuse it. - Emergency Tactics is your best friend when people are already hurt (and they WILL be since barriers fall off HARD at higher levels.) Sure, you might not have Medica 2 or Diurnal Aspected Helios, but E-Tactics Succor is a nice comfortable little burst that outshines normal Helios or normal Medica. Due to the 15 second cooldown on E-Tactics, it's best to save it for your AoE heals since your focused heals will primarily be on the tank who's taking autos anyways, so the barriers will be put to immediate use. No, do not just expect the other healer to hard carry Raidwide damage with their regens. It makes you look like a callous jerkwad who's just there for the carry. *They do more raw damage than you so you're legitimately just hurting the party by making THEM stop to heal when YOU could handle it!*
7:31 the 1st moment when rescue was put in the game i asap tested if temper will (tank army length) would stop it from pulling and it fking did. From that day i failed to save tank who pop temper will on a move that cant be knockback prevent. :(
There were no glamours, at least in the first fights. And if you pause the video there are several instances were he checks Kronks "gear" such as it was.
As a former Scholar Main, myself: The Dark Knights and Paladins spamming TBN/Cover on Kronk were FREAKING HEROES. Scholar actually specializes in AoE Burst Heals and suffers heavily in sustained heals. The use of Cover and TBN helped spread the damage around a lot more evenly to really facilitate the Scholar's kit, instead of the typical scenario of "Frig, I don't have the other healers' tools to just keep this one main tank reliably perpetually healed." Kronk% would NOT have worked with 7 gunbreakers.
