Here's the last video from my railfan outing around the Inland Empire on August 10, 2018. Locations include Pepper Avenue at the UP West Colton yard and the Colton flyover.
Train 1: At Pepper Avenue a Westbound mixed freight rounds the curve on main 1 led by AC4400CW #6559, SD70M #4641, & SD60M #2514. ES44AC #7468 & SD70M #4595 serve as the DPUs.
Train 2: A westbound intermodal enters the yard on main 2 led by SD70ACe #8554, ES44AH #8183, and SD70M #5095. Another ES44AH (8194) pushes on the rear.
Train 3: Another Westbound intermodal ducks under Pepper Avenue on main 1 with AC4400CW #6647 and Dash 9-44CW #9713 leading and SD70ACe #8970 serving as the DPU.
Train 4: A westbound manifest enters the yard after coming off the Palmdale Cutoff. Engines are SD70ACe #8856 and AC4400CWs #s 6648 & 6543 with a pair of ACs (7742 & 7455) on the rear.
Train 5: A trio of SD70Ms (4337, 9901, and 4018) lead a cut of cars around the balloon track
Train 6: Now at the Colton flyover the tail end of the Eastbound UP rock train with ES44AH #8052 crosses over from the BNSF transcon onto the Sunset Route.
Train 7: An eastbound UP intermodal transitions onto the Sunset route led by a quartet of SD70Ms. (5005, 4577, 4932, and 4489)
Train 8 and 9: A westbound UP intermodal rolls under the UP line, led by ES44AH #8171 and AC4400CWs #s 6366 & 9766. Soon after an eastbound intermodal rolls under the flyover, led by ES44AC #7875 and SD70Ms #s 4989 and 4998. ES44AH #8225 and SD70ACe #8616 serve as the mid-train DPUs on the westbound train while AC4400CW #6007 pushes on the eastbound.
Train 10: To end the day, another eastbound UP intermodal chugs by on the BNSF transcon with a former Chicago & Northwestern Dash 9-44CW (9696) in the consist! Other engines are ES44AC #7754 and SD70AH #9046.
