You went down to Woodland, Illinois where the CSX line from Terre Haute, Indiana joins the Union Pacific line from St. Louis, Missouri to form the Joint (CSX/Union Pacific) Line north to Chicago. The original owner of these three rail lines was the Chicago & Eastern Illinois Railroad. CSX acquired the line from Terre Haute, Indiana when CSX was created by the merger of the Chessie System and the Family Lines System. Union pacific acquired the line from St. Louis, Missouri when it acquired the Missouri Pacific Railroad. At Gilman, Illinois the Canadian National, which we see in this video, crosses the Toledo, Peoria & Western Railroad. Thank you for this video, Frank! I enjoyed watching the video.
