I find it interesting that you've not been up to Connelly Creek. I'm currently running two log trains a day between Connelly Creek and the Lumber mill making $3,300 a day and I'm looking to expand to three log trains a day at tier 4 service. The 3 Log sidings can hold: L1 - 5, L2 - 9, L3 - 7. I fill all three of these with log cars and rotate between L2 and L1 + L3. The Lumber mill will hold 12-13 log cars for unloading. So a run up with empties and back with logs is really quick. If I need more logs I'll bring them from Walker doing the same thing. This is by far the biggest return on investment I've seen so far in game. I'm only connected to Bryson though. As you level up in service tiers with the Lumber Mill, it will process more cars of lumber. At tier 3 it's 15 cars a day, tier 4 it's 21, and tier 5 30 cars a day. That's around $165 per log car. For 30 cars a day is almost $5000 a day. To make that sustainable you'd need logs from Walker.
that is one hell of a rescue job i found my workers would repair fairly quickly but i never had all that damage you did lol the sw are such great workhorses
Tier 4 at Sylva needs 7 Pulpwood and Tier 5 10 Cars per Day. When you have tow set of Cars like me, then you a lot time saving. So can one Train loading and the other unlodaing
I keep it set to hostile, because in my experience, all the class 1 railroad is going to do is go “All these cars need to be interchanged with this railroad, not our problem where it’s going” and to be fair, we do the same thing in game, the game just tells us all the cars need to go to the interchange, it’s not our problem where they need to go once the Class 1 takes them away. The only issue with that, is if I have busy day… it’ll take me 20-30 minutes to block everything together
In my opinion, if you plan on playing single player, don’t go west of Bryson. If you do, don’t accept any contracts west of Bryson, just send your passenger train. Use 1:1 time.
@@railfanjamie6147 or don’t get too many contracts. Get as many you can handle. I’m the beginning it’ll be easy but that’s the fun of this game. There is always something to do. And you unlock stuff unlike railroads online
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me that steam locos in Railroader only work as MU if they are coupled together with the lead loco. If they aren't, the MU locos just sit there in the consist as dead weight.
You can put the locos anywhere in the consist. To get them working I usually set the supporting locos in manual and set them to whatever speed I want. Then set the main loco to road with set speed. Once the train is moving, just set all other locos to auto MU/brake control.
Locomotives must be connected physically next to one another in order to MU them together. At launch, it didn't matter where they were in the consist, you could MU them together. It wasn't planned that way, but it was a "happy accident" that it allowed helper service. The update 2 weeks ago killed that ability.
I'm glad I'm not the only one to have AI derail trains for no reason. I've seen it slow down in the interchange just to speed up and ram cars. AI has totaled 5 trains on me. It even rammed my passenger train at a switch. 8-cars totaled took me a couple days to get them all back. And I didn't even know there was a new update. Guess I spent too much time in the game today. Yes I play an easy 12 hours a day. Grades are nothing till you go to Andrews. I spent most of my day today trying to get my cars out and back there. GP-9 would only do 800ton train.😂😂😂😂😂
I almost rear ended my passenger train at Wilmot because I had a flare placed and it was stopped while I was manning a 2 car train back to Sylva interchange and the mainline is only 1 track through there luckily I saw it and went full emergency brake but if I didn’t catch that I would have been screwed 😂😂
Schnauz, be careful; since the latest update I had a loco roll out of the Alarka engine shed downhill and derail…could have been me, but I’m almost positive I had it stopped and speed set at zero…
Hey is there a cheat in sandbox mode that let's you teleport trains and cars to where they need to go i have to bring cars all the way from sylva to alarka junction it takes to long to drive there all trains I've tried so far seem to be the same speed
