How can this be 27 years ago?! Seems like just a few years ago you could witness the various types of traction and those liveries. Time just flies past.
I used to change at Newport when travelling in this era from Hereford back to London. It was always such a busy, bustling place - all sorts of interesting things ticking over in the sidings.
Are the time captions a bit out ?. Your first one of 10.58 contradicts the station clock, which shows 09.58. A great reminder of how busy Newport used to be. I had been there the month before.
