Here is another old Rain Bird "R-50" rotor of mine, however this one holds a special place in my life as it is the first sprinkler head I ever bought new back when I was about 5 or 6 years old. It's seen its fair share of use over the years and is starting to show it by the small leaks seen during this run, mostly where the top seal meets the body and leaks from under the body cap. These older models don't have the adjustable bypass stator for the different size nozzles like most later R-50/TDR-2s have; they utilize a removable poppet that restricts the water flow through the drive to match the nozzle size installed. This one has the typical gray 3.0 GPM "radius plus" nozzle and matching poppet installed, which has a spray radius of about 40 feet.
