Some interesting songs that you selected . Here's some good ones that came to mind for me : Rain , by Dr. John on his City Lights album Rain , by Uriah Heep on Demons & Wizards Rainy Day People by Gordon Lightfoot from Cold on the Shoulder Rain Dance by the Guess Who on So Long Bannatyne Rainy Night in Georgia by Brook Benton . Cheers !!
I have one Martin Stephenson LP: Gladsome, Humour & Blue. I think it is really good. Dire Straits 👍 I bought that record for Industrial Disease but quickly realized that it is not even close to the best song on the record. Great picks!
Enjoyable video and good to see the excellent Toni Childs album get a mention. On the theme of rain in the title, how about 'Morning Rain' by Keef Hartley Band; 'Thunder and Rain' by Graham Parker; 'Always in the Rain' by Dion and finally, Joni Mitchell's 'Rainy Night House'
Hi David! I loved how around the 3 minute mark you dove into rain as an inspired subject for songwriters, and found myself nodding in full agreement. Love Over Gold is outstanding with the exception of Industrial Disease as you said. That one and Money For Nothing I’m fine with not hearing again, and I consider myself a big fan. ✌️
