scavs are unpredictable as hell, it wouldnt surprise me if immediatley after this another dropped in from the ceiling and instantly exploded both themselves and you with a bomb
Here's how to gain reputation with scavs: 1: Give them every pearl you find. 2: Do NOT attack them. 3: Stay away from them until you have a high reputation or are giving them a pearl. 4: Do NOT take from to tolls or treasuries unless you have high reputation. 5: Do NOT pass tolls without a pearl unless you have high reputation. 6: Lastly, obey their body language.
Once (and by once i mean just a litle while ago) i was at garbage wastes after getting the ds pearl and i was just grabbing some food with the scabs and a vulture just crashed down ionto all of us, i managed to hit it's wing once before it got me but here's the thing, one scav, not sure which one, shot a slear at the vulture and it let go of me, not 100% sure wether i hit it again or not but it ran away shortly afterwards, i'll probably remember this for quite a while, just like my first white lizard kill way back in my first playthrough
@@doreew yes but it happends so infrequently, eaven if you have chieftain on there is a 99.9% chance they will do nothing to free you from the jaws of a lizard
@@lazylonewolf oohhhhhh like arena mode with aggressive ai turned on!😀................ I DESPISE THE FACT THAT THEY CAN THROW AT SLIGHTLY UPWARD OR LOWER ANGLES YET IF THERES A TARGET IN FRONT OF THE SLUGCAT, HE MISSES REGARDLESS!!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Just had my 1st scav encounter on the switch version. I eluded being in a position they were capable of sticking spears in me but they didn’t hold them up or act threatening. Gave em the spear I had and they didn’t even use it on me! Then a vulture swoops in and I nabbed my spear back to stick it in the vultures face, and yoinked it’s mask. Such a clusterfuck I’m surprised I made it out alive. No Cheiftan points though since none of them were in the maw of the vulture I guess.
One time I was in sky islands and I saw a scav that didn't have a weapon and was afraid of me. I wanted to raise my scav rep so I gave it a spear. It then used the spear to kill me. I wish all scavs were like that kind soul shown in the video.
I love scavengers!😍 So sad that people are so dumb they always go for outlaw because they are so dense they can't comprehend scavenger behavior and reputation!😭
outlaw is for killing creatures in general. not scavengers in particular. you can easily get it without hurting a scav by just spending a few cycles in chimney
@@mickjaegar2379 yeah this comment was a bit outdated. i also learned that you could also get it in the shaded citadel pretty easily by killing a bunch of lantern mice in the span of a cycle if I recall correctly! But when it comes to newer players (players in general that have only been in the game once) they always seem to get outlaw by killing scavengers because they can't comprehend their behavior...
@@TheInfectedGamerYT Aw, I'm a rare case. I always watch my behaviour around NPCs, I took the scavenger at the toll gate tapping their spear on the ground as a "come no closer" type of warning so I left, I looked them up and they were notified to be a nomadic warrior tribe that trades, so I tried giving them one of those pearls. I threw it at a fair distance and one rushed to it and picked it up, another waved me through with their spear, I found out they like pearls, and then looked up what else they like. I also helped loners by impulse, so I unintentionally made peace with them. I eventually met up with another one by the entrance to a toll gate, they rubbed their spear on mine and fucked off. It felt rather rewarding. XD
Slugcats are covered with mucus that allows them to go through pipes faster. Slugcat would be smooth in touch, not fluffy, you would also probably have a little bit of that mucus left on your hand
@@quillthedragonprobably because you had a high enough reputation with them to get them to have some follow you without you knowing, and there's a bit of places scavs can appear besides tolls
I've learned that a lot of behaviour like this comes from the AI literally not being able to do what it wants to do if you head into safari mode or smth where you can control them, they aren't able to move around particularly well, so it's hard to navigate pretty much anywhere

I needed this after watching a 40 minute roblox horror story that looked like it was 2009 about child abuse and being stuck in a cult (Do not question what my ADHD brain wants to watch at 2 am.)
