Today I compare 2 different waterless car wash solutions to find out which works best. Meguiar's on Amazon here: amzn.to/2Q3NDoq Rain-X on Amazon here (4 pack): amzn.to/34N2nfr
Rain-X actually says to spray in shaded area and on a cool surface ONLY, that is why you're getting the streaks. Good video though 👍also don't forget to mention the price difference and how much you get. $10 for 26oz Meguiars $7 for 32oz Rain-X
I've had streaking even with garaged cars. In fairness I had Turtle Wax Ice Seal n Shine as my base wax with a top coat of Ice Spray Wax, so maybe I'd get better results on a virgin, or stripped, finish. I applaud Rain X for the lubricity of their waterless spray, and for the fine mist. It really floats dirt, I can tell by the diesel dust that migrates under my finger nails. I feel much safer with Rain X that some more expensive boutique brands. On really dirty cars, or where the cycle of morning dew on top of dust/diesel soot is beginning to "cement" the dirty layer to the finish, I might just use Rain X despite the streaking THEN remove the streaking with Ice Spray Wax or Hybrid Ceramic 3 in 1 Detailer. I don't trust commercial car washes anymore so I use waterless wash products almost exclusively (apartment, no hose). The funny thing about Rain X Waterless, is the amazing slickness, as good as any other product I've used (not comparing durability, since I'm laying down a layer ever 3-4 days just to keep the car clean, not waxing once a year or even once a month).
@@richieescobar6382 i got you, this week coming up im doing a Rain-X waterless wash and wax review with my motorcycle. Monday night it'll be on my channel. Be cool
I used to use a car cover on my Corvette. The problem is that car covers scratch the paint, and they also introduce dust to the paint. So, you end up having to do a touchup with the Maguires anyway when you take the cover off.
Rain-X produces such a slick finish. However I have streaking problems with Rain-X and none with Meguiars. Rain-X is a lot cheaper. Glad no cats were harmed.
I've been using maquiers waterless wash for a while now. After trying most of the waterless cleaning products maquiers is the only one that comes off just as easy as it went on.
thanks for the vid, great info. Think I'll give the Meguiars tomorrow on my Porsche, midnight blue. as for the prob with the kitty paw prints, I'd get some sort of lightweight car cover. just a thought. :)
Is it a good/bad idea to wax my 2008 domestic car, right after Rain X?? I live in an apartment and I don't have the lux of handwashing my car at a house. Or I could use the $2 spray-gun at the Car Wash, then use the Rain X, then wax my car with NU FINNISH polish??
There's a French product called "Pelet' Goon' " works wonders and usually only requires one application per cat. You need to use the included Rayn X blood repellent wash and wax before the Pelet' Goon' but if you follow the directions you'll have great results. Cheers!
Have you noticed any fine scratches or hazing of your paint since using these? I'm interested myself for my motorcycle but concerned over causing paint damage.
At Walmart 32oz Rain-X's 949 - 26oz McGuire's is 9.99 Rain-X has comment after comment about streaking I think it's still a good product if I had a garage I'd rainX No sun streak issues .6oz more product
cats, may be super late but if you put pepper like from your kitchen around your cars they’ll stay away ; or anywhere where they’re starting to claim, doesn’t harm them either
You said Meguiars is easier to wipe, but how about the results, effectiveness. I don't care about wiping when at the end rain x will give me a better protection and water repellant results then the easy wiping meguiars.
The cats get on your car because of the warm engine, and also the sun heats the skin of your car. No cats ever get on my Tesla. There is, of course, no engine. But the Tesla is also an all aluminum car, and the surface temperature remains remarkably cool compared to my Camry and my Chevy Pickup. You have a nice car. Have you thought of purchasing a car cover? I prefer the Maguires too btw.
put sticky paper around your car . old fly paper is perfect or any sticky sticker paper sticky side up. put around your car and on your car . cats will stand on it . it sticks to their feet and fur . they will run like somethings got em . they won’t come back
I agree. It’s so good. A little pricey though. For like $2 more, I can get the Rain X one that’s double the amount of the Chemical Guys. Haven’t tried it yet, but hope it’s as good as CG.
HERE ARE THE OPTIONS FOR YOU OPTION A: KILL THE CATS 🐈 LOL 😂 OPTION B: MOVE OUT TO A BETTER PLACE OPTION C: PARK SOMEWHERE ELSE (WHERE THERE ARE NO CATS 🐱)
