This song always brings tears to my eyes. Trying to catch that one thing that is always out of reach, like trying to catch the rainbow. Very powerful song.
i got to meet the man a yr before he was taken from us he was short like 5'3"-5'5" and im like 6'4" so i felt like a giant next to him but he was the most respectable laid back guy ive ever met always took time for his fans and he had a street named after him where his parents still live as far as i know Dio Way and I am from his home town of Cortland, New York as well RIP Ronnie you are still and always will be missed greatly but thank you for the awesome music you gave us and for that youll always live on in our hearts and in the music
There are no real words to express how truly epic this song is & how beautiful Ronnie James Dio's voice is (yes, I say "IS" because he still lives on with us). THIS is true artistry divine. It's songs like this that makes you drift away to another space & time. Not only dreaming, but thinking. Music today doesn't do that. There's no heart, no soul, no beauty, & certainly no intelligence whatsoever.
Well said mate could not have said that any better isn't it a breath of fresh air listening to this song makes you feel like you were alive back in those times the endless mind could be away for days mate thanks for the read
HEY WOAH WOAH WOAH...I completely agree but everyone in this thread throwing mud to gods of music like the best god of music, Freddie Mercury and other gods of music like David Bowie just...that hurts.
my best friend turned me to this album and song while doing some bongs , while doing some major operations in the korengle vally afghanistan it's very cold in the mountains ...this song always came to me..when evening falls , she'll come to me... whispering dreams ,,soft and warm she'll touch my face ....my best freind greg died while I was down range ..to them I toast
I was introduced to Dio by a guy I know (coincidentally also named Mike), starting with Holy Diver and Invisible. With most of his songs, there's always this mystic feeling that I get. Either it's the vocals or the instruments. Big F to Dio, for being one of the Music gods. May all men and women press F to pay their respects.
Sir Ritchie Blackmore "is@are@was@were" the "truly masters of the guitars" with his "magical minds, hearts, hands & fingers he "brings & brought" the listeners of his guitar "melody & sounds" to feels like standing & walking & running & jumping & diving & flying all the way throuhout the whole world just like we listener were in our "fantasy & reality"...
I still remember, i was child and my father also play this song, metalica, classic musical, Deep Purple and many more, i just missing my chilld hood Love from indonesian 🇮🇩
Same here. My father used to play slow rock song in his "roadstar" casette player on his old kijang. And I just found the title of this song after he passed away.
Somewhere out there in the void Dio is on his silver mountain, just beyond the realm of dreams and across the rainbow bridge. He found the sacred heart and slayed all the dragons who steal our freedom. I'm going there someday, join me.
@@justmeinnit Nah, I reckon that it would be better to have only one chance, because if I kept going back to the early 70's, not only would it lose the magic of the one and only time, but also it would get quite boring after a point
When evening falls She'll run to me Like whispered dreams Your eyes can see Soft and warm She'll touch my face A bed of straw Against the rays We believed We'd catch the rainbow Ride the wind To the sun Sail away On ships of wonder But life's Not a wheel With chains Made of steel So bless me Come the dawn Come the dawn Come the dawn Come the dawn We believed We'd catch the rainbow Ride the wind To the sun And sail away On ships of wonder But life's Not a wheel With chains Made of steel So bless me Oh, bless me Bless me Come the dawn Come the dawn Come the dawn Come the dawn
I really miss the days when they made music like this. Much better times I think most would agree. This is a truly a classic, and nobody had a better signing voice than RJD.. May he rest in piece and rock the heavens....
When evening falls She'll run to me Like whispered dreams Your eyes can see Soft and warm She'll touch my face A bed of straw Against the rays We believed We'd catch the rainbow Ride the wind To the sun Sail away On ships of wonder But life's Not a wheel With chains Made of steel So bless me Come the dawn Come the dawn Come the dawn Come the dawn We believed We'd catch the rainbow Ride the wind To the sun And sail away On ships of wonder But life's Not a wheel With chains Made of steel So bless me Oh bless me Bless me Come the dawn Come the dawn Come the dawn Come the dawn
One of the most beautiful songs in rock history. Combo of Man in Black and Ronnie Dio creates Masterpiece. Voice and guitar solo... No more words cos with it Ronnie made a history.
I love this song. I met a woman who was with Richie for a few years. She's gone now but all I have to do is listen to this song and I can see her long black hair and her siver eyes. Rest in peace my beautiful Christy. I love you and miss you very much.
What a beautiful tribute to the writer and creator of this song. It moves you to lots of places of happiness and sadness it was the favourite song of a dear friend and playing it always takes me to good times spent with her, but such is life when Istart to realize how much I miss her. this song will hold a special place in my heart.
My favourite song of this amazing rock band. Ronnie James Dio was really a great singer. One of the best voice of the hard rock and heavy metal music. Greetings from Campli, Abruzzo, Italy.
Tarık Baran Ünlü mtal pantheon including: rob halford, ronny james dio, james hetfield, dave mustaine, lemmy, kerry king, bruce dickinson and possibly scott ian. oh and lzzy hale
these words always came to me in the cold nights in the mountains of the korangle vally....soft and warm she'll touch my face....so bless me ..come the dawn ...come the dawn...bless me... to Sir Ronnie James Dio....i say thank you for the words you had written years ago that blessed a soldier..many years later ....you can have my Bronze Star...
There is a such mystic attraction everytime I listen to this masterpiece I feek like taken away to another world, the guitar playing of Ritchie is mind blowing
My brother introduced me to this band when I was 16. A month later, my foster brother shot himself in front of two of my friends and I. 8 months to the day later one of those friends and my older brother died in a car accident. Listening to this reminds me of all of them. Good memories and melancholy. Now I'm an old man waiting to die. Live life like there's no tomorrow. Tell your loved ones you love them. You never know when they will be gone.
Came back listening this after discovering Glen's cover in the "This is your Life" album... sends shivers down my spine now, and i wanna believe Ronnie finally catched the rainbow and he's now watching down on us from the sun.
the greatness of this music is impossible to describe, but when you are listening to this particular song while high, your mind is very seriously blown away
i got to meet the man a yr before he was taken from us he was short like 5'3"-5'5" and im like 6'4" so i felt like a giant next to him but he was the most respectable laid back guy ive ever met always took time for his fans and he had a street named after him where his parents still live as far as i know Dio Way and I am from his home town of Cortland, New York as well
