"Street of Dreams" is a song by the English hard rock band Rainbow. The song was the first single from the band's album Bent Out of Shape, on which the band tried to repeat their previous success with their album Straight Between the Eyes and the single "Stone Cold".
The single "Street of Dreams" was released on August 19, 1983.
Ritchie Blackmore has stated that "Street of Dreams" is one of his favourite Rainbow songs.
Bent Out of Shape is the seventh studio album released by the British hard rock band Rainbow. It was originally released in August 1983 as an LP and cassette. The cassette featured several longer edits compared to the vinyl version. It was recorded at Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen in about 7 weeks.
Blackmore performed not one but two versions for Blackmore's Night's 2006 album, The Village Lanterne. Lead singer Candice Night sang it on the regular release, while a deluxe edition of the release had a duet recording of the song with Night and Joe Lynn Turner.

Perfect. I was about 14 years old when 1st time listening to this in 1984 and liked to play the solo of my own cover version 😅. This Solo cover is perfect.

Great job Flavio, nicely done. I think that this songs solo is truly under-rated. Blackmore simply plays a nice little solo, with some quick moves, enhancing the simplicity of the rest of the song. When I listen to Ritchie, I don't have to hear the big solo's that only he can deliver - it's just wonderful to hear you cover a song like this, no glam, no glitter, just a nice song, so...thanks. The most important care when mixing is that the guitar is not much louder than the original song, just a little louder. It is also not good to use a lot of distortion in this style of music.

Thanks! It's like you say, it's the closest I could get since I don't have the same instruments, amps or effects that Blackmore uses. I looked for a sound that has that same atmosphere.

Yes, that's right! Blackmore said his favorite Rainbow song is "Street of Dreams" and his favorite Deep Purple song is "Perfect Strangers".

Nice cover. You got it down. I remember this song so well from 80's radio and MTV. It was never my favorite Rainbow tune by far, but Richie is always great even when he's not trying too hard. I always thought he was coping a lot from Alex Lifeson in this song with all the arpeggiated lines, but hey, if you're going to copy someone you could do a lot worse than Alex, right. Anyway the solo is all Richie...melodic and a little sad. But that's what he does better than the rest.

Thanks for your comment! Yes, the solo is very typical of Ritchie and the effect of the Octaver gives more depth to the feeling of sadness. Beyond the different musical stages of Rainbow, Blackmore always did very good things.

I also think the guitar sounds very clear and can be distinguished well. Also the guitar is filmed very close and from the front, and you can see every single note well.
