This is similar to the model I prepared & presented in front of authorities in the Inspired(inspire) Awards, National Children Science Congress a long ago....They neglected it. But he made it a possibility. Kudos to him. 👏

A better India? Please. Let's get real. Water scarcity has been around in Indian cities and villages for decades and it's getting worst. Relentless population increase has exerted so much pressure on resources and now even breathing decent quality air is a luxury. These types of projects by private citizens are encouraging to see but will.only take India as a whole, so far. Mass impact can happen if there is enforcement by govt with a mission. If tunnels are built at breakneck speed at our borders with China, India can built desalination plants at lightning speed and pipe them to supply water. With the world's fastest growing economy, greening the country must be just at that speed ie lightning. I'd like to vigorously wave our flag and beat my chest about my country's economy and military might. But I'll most likely faint soon as rhe air is choking and water is scarse.

Do you know how costly and energy exhaustive desalination is? Plus it's no going to reduce urban flooding , or top soil loss. Everybody can't eek out a fortune for desalinated water and then starve, from drought induces crop loss and inflation, because people like you can't bother with something so simple to recharge groundwater table or lose productivity and suffer property damage year after year from urban flooding because you don't want to do something that also retains water away from drainage.

@@aleenaprasannan2146 all I'm saying is, it needs to be enforced. If not, go the costly way of building infrastructure. And what's with the "people like you" mentality.you have? So you belong to a "people"who are at the forefront of environmental movement? Well I'm not one of those people. But I'm one of those people who has environmental concerns and do follow principles of environmental preservation in my daily life since childhood. But my neighbors, my friends, my relatives have not had a dent other than praising me and questioning my resolve. And cause for that is because the whole thing is politicized. If Govt put down its foot and enforces strict environmental laws, it would not be needed for a "people" like me and you to set an example all the time. Contrary to that, every citizen of every color and background will follow set of enforced rules without having any sort of exclusive club of environmentalists and anti- environmentalists. With your way of "people like you" mentality, environmentalism has been reduced to politicking. Good luck with your generalization and politicking. You'll surely win a lot of hearts.

@@ashokbajjera2484 I am not here to hear some stranger's self appraisal and neither am I here to convince you what I do. As someone with academic background to understand very well how hydrogeology works, this is not something government can do own its own with just 'environmental laws'. Both groundwater recharging and urban flooding can only be done by land owners taking initiative to maximize the rentention of and gw recharging by rainwater that can be accomplished by them. It's not something that can be mandated by government, because for some it will be less that their potential and for others it would be impractical, individual properties will have their own complexities that will need different methods for the integrity of the land and structure there. My gribe is with you dismissing, underestimating and demoralizing community action as some kind of 'burden', when it's basic human responsibility and on top of that you are purporting something like seawater distillation which would fully commercialize a fundamental human necessity which without gw recharging will alienate ownership of groundwater which residents will own and keep it in the hands of corporates. People and community action can and have already done much more that government has ever done with their regulations. I'll wait for you to tell me what government 'regulation' has had effect anywhere close to what Paani foundation has achieved in far

@@aleenaprasannan2146Wow. Impressive resume youve got. Instead of depending on private citizens to make a big movement, how about making industries obey and follow. That's where I think the crux of the matter is. While one can create flowery and impressive narratives with vedio like this, try to do the same with how concrete, steel plants consume resources and discard wastes? Try to motivate all those restaurants and street vendors to clean up after themselves. Try to tell the rich and the elite to be impressed by such, and have live a life that's less taxing on the environment. Biggest consumers and polluters are industries and manufacturing. Ifs a fact that govts and media refuse to show. Cause any implementation of regulations mean job losses and economic slowdown. I.have to admit, my self appraisal was not the best, considering the impressive education and resume you've have produced. But I'd prefer a conversation without insults. Which im sure you are.not used to. But if thats the only way you know how to communicate, then good luck to you.
