Today is all over the place! We install more eyebrow frames over the screened openings, prepare a level gravel surface for our rainwater catchment tank being delivered soon, and cut and burn even more wood for the eyebrow frames.

harbor freight has a "pickup bed un-loader", it is a woven sheet that lays in the bottom of the bed and it has a spindle at the tailgate end that allows you to 'wind' the sheet up bringing the load to the rear. It is a sweet thing, I have used mine for everything from fire wood to gravel. And it leaves the bed nearly clean. I think they are under 60.00. It is rated at 2000lb. but I know I have had way more than that on it.

Watching you work alongside your dad makes me so happy. I lost my dad at 19. I never got to have as many of those moments with him as I would have liked, so watching you two does my heart good! ❤❤❤❤❤

Ashley, you do a great job of motivating everyone. It's a tough job to hold everyone to a standard, and there is not alot of praise for managing the project...except the final beautiful creation. Hang in there. Be good to yourself. Be your own cheerleader if you must.

Hey, certainly doesn’t seem like it was a weird day to me. Everything is much more clear-cut when you’re only doing one thing, like laying bags or plastering, but I love seeing all the projects you do and days when you do some of this and some of that are very, very interesting. Tiny shiny home is the best series ever!

bonjour la famille. bienvenue= welcome back ! yesterday was a tough Wednesday for me. it's been two weeks without a sighting of the Cochise County T-Rex. Being so perplexed, i found a copy of Jurassic Island and watched it without eating popcorn. I just needed to see the unflossed teeth of a T-Rex silhouetted on screen. The water tank will be a great addition to the project. It's monsoon season for sure out your way. In any case, welcome back, enjoy the holiday with dad and grandpa and we'll see y'all when you're able.

Yay, water tank for chicken coop! Exciting stuff guys. Wood installed around wire openings at the top. Nice rock surround for the water tank leveled area and a nice bed of pea gravel installed. You two and your kids absolutely ROCK! My hubby and I did a lot of restoring a 100 year old house after we gutted it by hand. Much like you two we had to figure out how and what got done each day. We also built enclosed patios, dug gardens, planted our landscapes..well you name it we did it, just the two of us. I know what this teamwork is all about. BUT, you two and kids are amazing a hard working family like no other. And Ashley,you have SKILLS! You are an amazing women, you do us ladies proud! Hello Folks, While I've been watching the videos from the other sandbag house. I like to watch the kids interact with the building and playing with Nine,Nine. Ashley what I would like to say is the video that I saw nine,nine, was licking your arm on that 🥵 HOT day. That was the salt in your body everyone does it. And animals know what's happening, You need to drink more water 💦💦💦💦, being in the dry land you all should. I saw on another RU-vid channel that is using hyperadobe bags for building walls that they occasionally have to spread a thin line of caulk in the cracks between long lengths of the hyperadobe bags. This (obviously) helps to seal the cracks that are a little too large.

Ashley talking about her need for a shower towards the end reminded me - when you're doing the foundation pour for the spot you're moving the camper to, might be a good time to set up an outdoor shower area at the same time? Like My Little Homestead's one - I'm thinking more like the old one with walls of sheet metal rather than the new and improved design. I know you've got a nice bathroom in the camper, but there's six of you, so... just a thought. :-)

Guys can’t get perfection when you build. You tested the finish coat and it worked. Don’t let concerns hold you up. Remember this build is a learning. Go with it and see if this will be okay for the house.

make up a slurry mix of sand soil and cement and use that to paint over the cracking. it will if there is enough cement in the mix fill the cracks and will help waterproofing, .

Just a though - when putting loose materials like pea gravel in the back of the truck, put a tarp down first to save all that pesky sweeping up at the end. Unless you like sweeping up, of course. I've been watching TSH since My Little Homestead came to visit and love your work. Thanks.

Hiya all, been watching with my dad for a while, keep up the good work. During this video I was noticing all the pods on all the mesquite trees. Look up mesquite flour. It was something of a staple for natives here in AZ. A perfect supplemental foodstuffs item for your family. Just a small suggestion I thought y’all might appreciate.

One of my favorite things to watch (besides the lightning), is seeing the big columns of rain, off in the distance. Of course I'm always hoping they come my way. So cool to see. Last summer I videoed one at night. The only thing that made it visible, were the lights of Yuma, casting just enough light to see it. So cool. Love y'all ❣️ ❤️🌵☀️⛈️🌈☮️🐎

Have you guys thought about making a water tank out of the hyper adobe earth bags? Use that as the “tank” and line with a impermeable membrane liner? Could even bury it like a cistern.
