I used to feel the same way but I’ll genuinely lay awake and ruminate for hours so I actually find it helpful for someone to break my chain of rumination and tell me to chill tf out
Get Sleepy is pure magic for those restless nights! 🌙✨ The soothing voice and tranquil overlays create an atmosphere that gently lulls you into a peaceful slumber in no time at all. It's like a guaranteed ticket to dreamland. Thank you for helping us all get the rest we need. Keep the relaxation coming, Get Sleepy - you're a bedtime lifesaver! 😴🌟🌌
I saw this and was disappointed because I didn't realise it was from Get Sleepy. Needless to say, I was stoked once I realised that it is by you. AND it's read by Thomas. You are the only narrator that I fall asleep to; I think it is the cadence of speech and what seems to be an natural soft-spoken voice. I have been listening to the Get Sleepy channel for over a month now and I have been able to decrease the dosage of sleep medication. I am so thankful for you all! 🤗🥱😊
I can’t believe I’m going to be this guy, but there’s so much in your version that is wholly inaccurate. It’s hard to relax when I’m thinking, “well, that’s not true” every other sentence. Good concept, though.
Darn this one isn't working for me. 😂I'm actually genuinely interested in the story. 😂 Not to worry get sleepy has many videos I'm very happy to revisit. Good night folks
Though I Love the other readers and they are appreciated it seems Sir Thomas is the The Hero of the Night that defeated The Madness Sleepless Mistress!😊❤ All Rights Reserved 😜
Oh dear, thank you for the history lesson, Thomas. Very Interesting person, Julius Cesar was. I personally believe this type of story deserves a channel if its own; honestly, I couldn’t fall asleep waiting for the next bit in the story, and that is how I was fully awake at the end of it. Thank you for the very interesting lesson, not even your voice managed to convince me to fall asleep, neither did the slow pace of your reading. Thank you for such very interesting history lesson.
As an insomniac yes, even “the astronomer” keeps me awake knowing darn well as to what is to happen. His voice makes it feel new every time I hear it somehow.
Oh this is a great idea. I like sleeping to science and history documentaries. I don't learn anything - actually worse that - I don't know whether historical events happened or if I just dreamt them, it implants false memories. So asking me anything about history is worse than asking somebody who knows literally nothing. But anyway, it's great not to be woken up by battle cries and swords clinking, or Dolby surround bass explosions. I like rain too - but it's gotta be the natural stuff. It has to be a recording of an actual rainy day, it adds to the suspension of disbelief. Not so much for crackling fires though. That just makes me think my house is burning down.
*Dear Thomas, what a joy to listen again to your peaceful and calm voice! Thank you again and to your team! Warmest regards from Brasil.* 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊
Mine, too! I love this story. I'm a history nerd so this story is great! The amount of time and effort that the Get Sleepy team must have put into this is just mind boggling. Thank you all so much! ❤
Listening to Julian Clary on barbiturates doesn't make me sleepy, it just irritates and confuses me. Not to mention that the history jumps around from different periods and areas, being frequently [ridiculously] wrong and mispronounced to unbelievable degrees, Don't give up the day job just yet, Sleepy Git.
I love your calming voice and the steady cadence. The story is interesting. However, every time you say Pom-pay instead of Pom-pee, it jars me and sets my brain screaming NO!
hey, I listen to your videos every day when I go to sleep, today I listened to this video and I really like the historical theme, can you give me the text format of this video?
My wife and I fall asleep to Thomas often. We jokingly say that one day we will here him tell a story because we never make it through the intro...Zzzzz
I fell asleep before the actual story even started 😂. I’m watching it now wide awake to genuinely learn the history because I find this topic and many others very interesting. Thank you for helping me fall asleep after 30 plus hours though!!!
